Getting a Drink

[Daniel Clark]

Daniel suddenly heard his communicator beep
'Clark here' he said
'Sir we've got a power fluctuation down here' came a voice from the communicator
'Duty calls' Said Daniel as he walked out of the room

"It was nice to meet you," said Kynes, as the Engineer strode out of the Mess Hall.
"Anyways..." toned the Captain, drinking up the remnants of his wine.
"The wine here is not bad."

Nathra Dray walked into the mess hall eager to have a nice cup of coffee, she had been doing physicals all day and was very tired. She inserted her coffee card into the nutrition dispencer and waited for the cup to fill up. She looked at all the people,
"Hello," she said with a smile.
Once her mug was full, she took it and sat at the table with the others

Captain Kynes greeted the new Chief Medical Officer.
"Hello," he said to the woman as she sat down with her coffee.
"I got the news this morning on our initial itenerary. We will be treading quite close to the territory of the Klingon Empire. It will be a few weeks until we reach open space."

'Well thats going to be... intresting' Said Daniel walking back into the room haveing fixed the power fluctuiation
He walked over tho the replicators and ordered a nice cold Water on ice and sat down with the others again

Kynes laughed.
"We might have a few twists and turns before our 'mission of exlporation' officially begins. You never know what might happen."

'well it sounds that the crew is going to have it's hands full, myself included'

She said nothing eating up and then standing.
"Well..if you'll excuse me" she said walking off, she hated close contact.

"I wonder what's troubling her," said Alexander.
"I've only known her for a short time, but I can already tell there's something that's on her mind..."

Walking into the mess hall i walked up to a replicator and ordered a beagal with cheese and turky. Then walking over to one corner and sat down, takeing out a data pad with an ancient then sci-fi series that ended after the 7th book with its wrighters untimely death, only to be contenued later by a fan. This was book 4 Fishermens hope. I smile as i read, and eat...

In the silence of his table's conversation, Alexander turned to the table next to him.
"Hey," he said to Vanlen.
"What are you reading?"

I look up and say "Ohh, book four of the seafort saga, I recemend it if you want to see how some people thought the future would turn out. Its also one of the best stories from the time, but the ships in it and even slower then warp one, they use another FTL engine called a fusion drive. Interesting theory realy, Would you like a copy of the series?" i ask.

"That would be great," said Alexander.
"I could give you a PADD to download it onto..."

"Sure sir" I say smileing. My com patch beeps and the voice of a non com in the astrometrics bay says he needs me there for something. "Well is you will exuse me theres a nav computer on the fritz again and the new nav crew have no idea how to fix it some im off to teach them how" I say laughing, iget out another PADD and hand it to the captain. "Thats the full series sir, hope you like it" i salute and head off to astrometrics.

Athrun finshes eating up his burger, he stood up and then walked past the table the captain was sitting, he salute and left the mess hall and headed to his quarters
