I strode onto the deck and turn to survey the crowd "This is shuttle piloting class, here i will take you out and show you how to handle the ships shuttles, its rather easy and if you blow us up i wont be alive to be mad at you will i?" i say grinning. "Any volunteers?" i ask...

Kynes, seeing no volunteers, decided to make an example, and took the initiative. "I volunteer," he said, with a distinctly Irish accent.

"A few times before in the Academy, but it wasn't my focus. I can take a shuttle for a quick spin, though," Kynes said, with a boyish grin.
Kynes took a seat at the pilot's seat, and pressed a few initiation buttons. The shuttlecrafts engines roared to life, and the hull began to gently vibrate. "I think we have everything under control, now!" said Kynes. The shuttlecraft slowly but steadily lifted itself from the Endeavour's hangar floor. "Increasing speed to one quarter impulse..." said Kynes as the shuttle passed through the cavity of the hangar, and into the vast openess of space. "What do I do now?" asked Kynes to Vanlen.

"Wait a minite, we don't have any navigation coils! I told Lt. Clark about those yesterday. Sir, very carefully turn the shuttle and try to land in the bay" i say, but just then as we are starting to move forward the ship spins out of control and crashes into the deck of the Shuttle bay...

"I've had worse..." said Kynes, rubbing the cut on his head. A drop of blood spilled out of the minor injury, but Alexander wiped it off. "When shall the shuttle be ready?" he asked, ignoring the cut and moving on.

Lyana rushes into the Shuttle Bay. She had received modest medical training at the academy, but she knew a thing or two about tending injuries. "Mr. McVanlen, sir? Are you alright?" she asks the Chief Helm Officer.
