Last night Conor called Karl's valen post discusting, as he does with every blood drink attack post anywhere. Now my point is that me Karl fought him on this. IMO "Filth" as he called it is sex. Apprantly the post was to disciptive. But the point was to shock Louis and put over the fact that Lestat was a blood drinking canovour that saw the humans as cattle. Now Conor, you may not like Anne Rice or Bram Strokers stuff of with the Valens are based on. But is it to much? And should Karls post from now on be limited to "And he drank his blood" for the sake of people like Conor?

no, i enjoyed it. I also prefer more intence wrighting and discriptive content. Sex is one thing, discribing wounds and death is another and it inhances the feel of things. Trust me if what karl discribed was disturbing to you there are many sites i know of and others that I'm on where we go in depth on everything. Everyone here is over 14 and mostlikely has seen some nasty shit on TV. if you have ever watched any of the alien or preditor movies, or any horror movie you can deal with wrighting like that.

John, thats obsurd.
Now, I have seen all the Predator movies you can poke a stick at (yes, all of them) and in none of them were there people taking bites out of other, and ripping them to shreds, look, even in the first part where I saw that guys arm 'sliced' from his limb, I still think that the writting is far too descriptive, detailed, and frankly unessecary, if you folks don't agree, fine, just keep it limited alright?

Thankfully, my name is spelt with ONE n, so this individual is not me. But I doubt we'll be seeing much of the Valens anyway, I mean we just had this episode on them, so I'm sure this won't be a problem too much in the future.

We don't have a concrete system of censoring obsene material, but I'm sure you're all sensible enough to know the boundaries. I read the post in question, and I didn't find it overly disturbing. Karl was being descriptive with it, giving it a more visual twist. And what's wrong with that? Because we're not a TV show, we don't have to deal with the Legions of Overprotective Parents or those 'Sanctity of Public Television' assholes. We're here to be creative, and create a 'show' through a collaberation of words, and imagination.
However, it is the majority that has power. Is there anyone who would like a concrete form of censorship?

What does IMO stand for? For that matter, Can someone write a short dictionary of shorthand terms to put in the database?
Personally, I don't really think we need to call for a censorship law.

you did, and not funny, nor is your primitive, yet derrogatory name you have given me, and it doesn't match, I like gore, gores fine, but when it turns to horror, its just sick and disgusting, and not nessecary, not repeating myself, tone it done

you have no right to say that. since its already been decided that we are not going to add censorship to this. so we keep the gore. though it wont happen offten when it dos it will be grusome, and awesome, and theres nothing you can do, for you have been out weighed on the matter.
