Entering Office

[Commander Vorak]

TIME SETTING: BEFORE EPISODE 1
Vorak entered the office and sat down calmly placing a hand on the computer and turning it on.
"Computer; List crew roster and medical reports."

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

A while after Vorak entered his office, Kynes came knocking on his door.
"Commander Vorak? May I come in?"
Kynes entered Vorak's office.
"Hey," said Alexander, nodding in greeting.

[Commander Vorak]

Vorak stood.
"May I assist you with anything Captain?"

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

Alexander sat down.

"It's about this new long-term assignment we've been given. There's been alot of talk about another conflict with the Federation recently, and although I know a Captain is supposed to be the epitome of confidence..."

Captain Kynes paused, and scratched his head.

"Ahh, nevermind... What are your viewpoints of the Klingons?" he asked, silently scolding himself for showing anxiety to a fellow officer.

[Commander Vorak]

"They are a militant race drove by Illogical quests for Honor in killing" he said sitting "They wish to conquer and that has lead to disputes between them and the Federation. I believe that they are extremely volatile but not as 2 dimensional as the data in our computers would have them be, they can be seen to reason at great cost. But sometimes a wounded animal may still at its most fierce rather than yield to assistance."

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

Kynes listened solemnly to Vorak's talk on the nature of the mysterious aliens.
"I suppose their something like the ancient humans of Earth. The time before first contact was filled with destruction, and killing. But when the light of love shone through, people would settle their differences peacefully, and prosperity would resume. It's a good example of the Yin Yang theory."

[Commander Vorak]

"Indeed, simlair to that of a certain expliot of the late Enterprise" he replied.

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

Alexander nodded slowly.
"They were certainly a great crew."

[Commander Vorak]

"Where sir? I do believe that they now still serve onboards the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 Alpha" he corrected.

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

A smile crept over Alexander's face, he cocked his head to one side, and chuckled.
"The days of the Enterprise are long gone. They haven't explored any new territory for almost 20 years. The crew was great, but many of them have gone their own ways."

[Commander Vorak]

"Agreed, Captain Sulu and the Excelcior for instance" he replied.

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"Yes," agreed Kynes.
"Heroism is temporary, before it fades to a collection of reminiscence."

[Commander Vorak]

"Very peseptive captain" he commented.

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

Kynes nodded gratefully at Vorak's compliment, and took another sip of his drink.

[Commander Vorak]

"Was there anything you wanted?" he asked.
