It is 0200 hours when Kynes walks into the Recreation Lounge. While docked in with Starbase 4, he had seen to it that a small garden was planted in the lounge, to give the crew a place to rest and reflect.
The night was the time the Rec Lounge was quietest. Taking advantage of this, Kynes sits near to a batch of ferns, and takes out a PADD, containing the memoirs he is writing of the Endeavour's travels. He begins to write, and appreciates the cool warmth the new garden conveys to him.

Alexander looks up.
"Very well... Why are you up at this late hour? Trying to burn some of the ol' midnight oil?" Kynes asked, putting down the PADD.

"I wish I had that much time to do things. This ship seems to send in reports all at the same bloody time," Kynes says, having a drink.

"Thank you Sir" I say grining. I out my book down on a bench and go to a clearing, i begin practiceing the art of Ba Qua...
OOC: basicly Ba Qua is a Martial art that deels with getting behind your enamy and then paralizing them. It's very cool to look at and it's like art to watch as well. They do alot of spins and stuff=)

Kynes put down his PADD and watched Rudger perform his artful dance. Smiling, Alexander shook his head and with an amused expression, turned back to writing the memoirs.

After a few minutes Rudger stops and looks up. "Sirs, how would you like to join me, i could use a sparing partern, or i could teach you a bit about the art" He looks hopefully between the Captain and the Commander...

Kynes shrugged.
"I could do with burning a little energy, I suppose..." he said, stepping onto the sparring mat and taking off his sweater. Getting into a defensive position, he readied himself as McVanlen approached him cautiously.
