I would like to begin by saying I love Command White, it rocks, thaks for changing it.
I have noticed that alot of the Colours of other uniforms have changed also, now this is simply out of curiousity, but as far as I see it this is what I think makes more sense
Logical
Captain Kynes - Command White Commander Vorak - Command White Lt Zepplin - Command White Doctor McAinmire - Medical Green Lt. Clark - Gold
Illogical
Lt. McVanlen - Gold, why not Red? Ensign Drago - Gold why not Red? Flt Lt. Cambell - 'Light' Blue, why not Red? Lt. Dale - Purple why not Red?
Lt. Jade - Green, why not Gold? Lt. Zantorian - Green why not Gold? Ensign Litchfield - Blue why not Gold?
Ensign Sh'aal - Grey why not Blue?
These are just my observations from watching all of the TOS movies as well as every TOS episode and all episodes of TNG part from season 2, but most of that anyway. Of course Administrators, this is your site, but I am simply curious, and would very much appreciate any light you could shed on this subject.

Please, I would rather you ot refer to me as a Twit Lt. it not only lowers your credibility, but also weakens your arguement, please, I would love you to put forward some 'official evidence' that I am incorrect, but untill now, you have non in which to speak of, and Commander sir, I do not understand what you mean, could you re-phase that please?

Guys guys, sorry Conor but after looking at kuro rpg where I get these ranks it clearly has red as the cadet colour. Yes Savikk wore Red but she was not at helm Sulu who wore yellow in both WOK and TUC and was at helm. As as far a Valeris goes if you look closer her turtleneck is I believe either white or gold. Either way that doest stand much for credability.

What about Ensign Sh'aal? Shouldn't it be blue, not gray? Gray is fighter pilot or something. The Intelligence Purple colour is cool with me though.

Yes sir, I agree that Yellow is for Helm now that i realised that Sulu was at Helm the whole time, not the other folks, which were clearly navigators... however, I do not subscripe to Red being cadet, it was on 'atleast' three commissioned officers I saw in the movies, one being in TWOK (Saavik), TSFT (African asking for a heroes welcome), TUC (Lt. Valeris).
So I will never believe that Red is Cadet, as well as the fact that all the 'Cadets' had Yellow shoulders

yes, however, are theories are not mutually exclusive, cadets still wear red, but have yellow shoulders and officers who wear red are obviously navigation and something else as well as juniour officers too

no no, all cadets wore the yellow shoulders, and all the officers wore completly red uniforms, thats the difference, no cross over non-sense.
