"Indications of a large building over here." Zepplin says activating a palm becon.
They wonder over and find a large building, very old and empty, standing in the middle of a city, that they only just realised was surrounding them.

"This buildings look very old... I'm guessing it's an ancient city. Perhaps the inhabitants have since left..." remarked Kynes running his tricorder over the building's walls.

"No signs of life Captain. If there 'are' alien life here, I doubt very much they are like anything we have ever encountered before." Zepplin paused, reminded of Jade's uncertainty regarding such words.
"I mean, similar, but not exactly like... oh never mind." he ends in frustration, the truth of the matter could not be ignored. They were way out of there league here.
The four officers entered the building, Zepplin and Jade taking forward flanks to the left and right scanning with palm beacons while Litchfield and the Captain hung back.
Zepplin looked at an old console, he found a body, long decomposed, lying across the table or console of some type. As he brushes away the body, the console comes to life, causing a chain reaction in all the systems.
"Woah! Captain, you'd better take a look at this sir." he states, amazed at what was before him.

"It's as if the jaws of Atlantis have opened..." muttered Kynes. "What do you suppose this thing is?" he asks.

"From what I can tell, this was once a large ancient city... but some of the technology, is far beyond our own, other parts appear more primitive, such as this lighting system, a series of mirror have lit up the entire... 'room' if you will, while computer systems have a sophistication that beats even our latest tri-tronic units sir." Zepplin commented.
"We should take a more detailed look around, but I advice that we do not touch anything, we don't know what it will do."

Tracing his way through the corridors, Kynes found himself lost in the darkness. "Hello?" he called out. "Is anybody there?" Silence.
Not knowing what to do, Kynes continued down the corridor, deeper into the darkness...
