Description: As i have been watching maratons of stargate for a few weeks now along side voyager re-runs=P I have decided to make a stargate rpg. We will play as SG-10 and do our own missions, this takes place in an alternet reality where its the same up entil the Ori, but in this one we havein't met them yet and won't. However everything else is the same, so season 8 just before the Ori and just after the defeat of the Go'uald or however you spell it.
Story: In this reality it's 2006, and there are 20 SG teams based on earth, and 10 from Atlantis. In addition mankind has a few star ships of our own and are building more. I will be the leader of the team, witch will have four members.
Postitions; Leader: Colonel Rudger Mcvanlen Scientist: Member 1: Member 2:
we will begin once three of you join=)

sounds like fun, accept I really can't think of anyone to be, I mean everyone wants to be the leader, and also, if we aren't fighting the Go'auld, who would we be fighting? the Wraith? but you said this is a Earth team yeah? can't we just go back to like the times of apophis? I mean c'mon really he was the best enemy ever, they got worse from that, who could deny that season 5 onward the show got better? the real problem with the season 8 end (accept the fact it was fantastic) was it killed the Go'auld System lords and the Replicators in one big bang, so if its going to be earth, then we'd have to think of a new enemy to fight wouldn't we? In this time frame.

bingo=) thats actualy what i wanted to do, make a new threat for us to face. Something bad ass but not as invinceable as the Ori, or as adaptive as the Replicators. I'm thinking more of a Romulan like enemy, you know, cloaking. Better reserch, weaker weapons and shields but faster. what do you think?
and you could be like carter from the show. Scientific but still millitary.

Just want to add that its airforce ranks, but we need like an archeologist, ofcourse we wont nessecarily get an alien, but all the front line teams get one, maybe we could have a red shirt (although in this show its more likely to be camo shirt) guy that can just die easily on the first mission?
Also, Romulan? You don't mean 24th Century Romulan right? Can't we just fight the Goa'uld again? Like say that one was re-awakened on some distant planet, and its reviving the armies and what not? Because my favourite enemy, the serpent guards, I love the sepent guards, just the fact that when they walk they make that clank clank sound, and the staff weapons are cool too, ZATs! best side-arm ever! I mean the Ori rip offs were so irritating, we'd have to meet anothe specicies and pretend the Ori never existed. Got any other ideas?

actualy ya, lets have like a Goa'uld that advanced with slightly differint tech, make him faster, alitle more advanced, but weaker shields and weaker weapons ship wise? then through in some space battles along with us kicking ass groundside. sound good?

Sure does, for the time being we should throw in some NPCs like a couple of militants, that way when we meet new people (a.k.a. other players want to join too) we can kill off the other members, YAY.

The Crew man's their stations. SAM: "Colonel, the Singularity is about to explode." Yeah lets make that forth member a sergeant, its a bit weird if the whole teams are officers, actually Lt Smith has a good ring to it, ok lets start
IC: Captain Jones walked into the Briefing room in dress uniform. Saluting the General, Jones began "Captain Conor Jones reporting for duty sir!" he says wearing his immaculate uniform. Hank Landry returned the salute, then quickly lost it. "Captain! Welcome to the SGC. While the others arrive, I suggest you go take a look at the gate, as this 'is' the first time you've been here." "Sir, what others?" "Oh; of-course, maybe i should keep it a surprise. At least punctuality has its rewards, take a look for yourself son." The General indicated toward the gate through the giant glass window. Jones stepped over and admired it. A large ring with many different symbols and fixtures on it, stood behind a metal platform, someone was walking in the coridoor at that moment toward the briefing room.

"General! Colonel Rudger Mcvanlen Reporting for duty Sir!" Says Rudger as he enters the room with a perfect salute. "Captain" He says noding in his direction. On his tail are the Lts. "Sir if we may get under way? I'm eager to carry on with this mission" He says.
The Lt.s are both young and a litle star struck at being under both Rudger Mcvanlen and Conor Jones. Both of whom are well known and highly decorated officers. Rudger haveing one of the biggest kill books in sniper history aswell as his spec ops work. and conor from...

OOC: Can we have one of them a 2nd Lt. and the other one a SGT? I mean two lieutenants and a captain all in one team seems a little overloaded, is thats ok, and what should our SG number be? something below ten preferably
His time in service of SG-3. Conor was finally glad to get a second in command position, and he had heard alot about Colonel McVanlen. "I agree sir." The team sat down, as Landry took his seat at the head of the table, Captain Jones naturally took the seat on the Generals right. "P5C-344, thats the name of the planet your going too, what we got back from M.A.L.P. telemetry suggests a mass fleet is assembling there. It didn't get to transmit much data before it was destroyed but what looked like staff weapons fire; Colonel, I'm ordering your team in for standard recon, do not engage the enemy accept under most dire circumstances is that understood?"

The General looks up at the scientist "Ahh! Doctor Fynes, good to have you hear, finally, take a seat and don't be late for mission briefings again." the General said in his low tone voice. "Colonel, you have go, prepare your team to leave in one hour."
*One hours passes*
The team is assembled, all wearing Black vests and helmets with standard SGC Green uniforms.
"I have the GDO Colonel, everythings set."
The wormhole activates, blowing Lt. Smith back with shock.
"Relax Lieutenant, it never actually gets close enough to hit you... unless your on the ramp when it activates,"
he says with a smile, before turning to face the event horizon, still before the ramp.
