WWII: Invasion of Normandy

4:00 AM, D-DAY

The glider began to buckle as Sergeant Fynes prepped his gear for landing.
"Hold on, we're almost through this," he said.
"The cable's cut! We're going down!" yelled another.
Everything was a blur... Conor couldn't see a thing. The noise blinded his senses, and a few seconds later, a crash...

"Sarge! Get up! Get up!"
Fynes eyes opened up slowly.
"We're the only ones left." said the Private. The others had all perished in the fight.

"Four krauts coming up over the hill!" Private Ridges yelled.
Fynes nodded.
"Take a position, we'll hold here!"

"Open Fire!" Yelled the Corporal to the Private.

The entire squad hit the side of the hill and waite for the soldiers to come running to the top before three were shot down, the fourth, firing ineffectively at the squad before Cpl. Palmer shot him in the leg with his revolver, and took the wounded man's weapon.

"What should we do with this one Sergeant?" he asked Sergeant Fynes, as he held the Nazi by the scruff of his neck, admiring the nose he broke when he punched him in the face not long ago.

"We'll hold him until Command gets a base settled around here."

"Understood. Take him away!" as the privates started dragging the newly captured prisoner, Palmer stopped him, and turned his face towards his.

"The wars over, your beloved fuher has retreated, you won't be going home for a looooong time." he said with a coy smile, before indicating with his head for the privates to tie him up.

"Sergeant, if we move quickly we can rendevou with Bravo Battalion on the other side of this creek, they report they will be there in 30 minutes." he claimed, as he kept listening to the radio for further news.

Kynes nodded.
"We'll keep moving forward. There's a road ahead we need to take for the main invasion force to land and deploy."

OOC: The D Day invasion is just started. There havent been beach landings yet. That happens in the morning, this is still nightitime.
