Starship change over?

As many of you may notice during the time period we are playing in many of the older constituion classes where replaced by the new sleaker excelcior classes. The Question here is when should we make that change over. Either during this mission due to the battle damage being to extensive, or somthing else happening to her (ideas welcome). Or She simply be retired at the end of the season. Opinions please. You have until the clmiax of the current plot.

We should do it. We could do it in this episode
A) Because of the BAttle Damage and
B) we have to abandon ship because the klingons blow up the orignal excelsior when they tried to kill the ambassendor and then in the next episode get the USS Endeavour B Exclesir class
