Zepplin hands back a report to Vorak "here you are sir; oh hello koch... Btw Commander, may I ask why you chose to wear Command White over Science Gray? I personally love Operations, so Command white is what I get, but having given the choice I am curious as to why you chose... White." Zepplin asks earnestly.

"I have found that in a time of emergency people respond to command colours as they would a Captain" he says.

Scaning them both Kosh tilts his head and says "So your ranking system and poitions are done by your uniform? Tau simply wear what they want and all Tau know the rank of all other Tau via tellapathic link, as all Tau are allways linked, but unlike most race wide links its more of a network witch can be connected to or not at any Taus will. Similar to what you had on earth 200 or so years ago called the "internet" except with our minds not a computer. However Tau can link with our computers aswell, for combat or piloting" He says.

"That makes sense Commander, also on that note Kosh, we do use uniform to show ranking, as most members of the federation aren't linked telepathically, and when we meet new officers it just informs them instantly of what rank we are..." Zepplin pauses for a moment "Is the specimen suppost to do that?" Zepplin asks, looking over at the movement of the specimen.

Where it was there was a deep burn in the side of Koshes suit. "He also burned through... amazing litle creatures, 17 Tau have died reserching them. It appears they dont like us, though we have never been able to find a reason." He says.

"You know, don't mean to be offensive, but things dont always have to have a reason not to like... things, sometimes they just do, no amount of logic or rationale consideration can determine exactly why-isn't that right Commander?"

"If you insist so Lt" he replied "But logic often is present in most primitive life."

"Like humans?" Zepplin puts on a smile. "We have encountered many sentient life that would refuse to go anywhere near logic, I for one think logic is quite useful, but ofcourse being a human, I cannot devote myself entirely to a pure logic path." Zepplin comments

"Indeed, but almost everything can have a logical answere. You have to find a balence between the two. However Vulcans need logic as without it they revert to their animal instincts. Plus it has served them well" Kosh says still looking in awe at the burn...

"Yes. Logic, the term is basically coined by vulcans, I mean thats the english word, I don't know what it would be in vulcan... But it seems there balance is more extreme, from what I've heard, is it every; seven? years? that..."

Kosh turns "Vulcans do not like to speak of that... and nor do Tau... our cycle is every 100 years... Wait... or dear... that reminds me... Its been.. oh dear my next cycle is in 3 hours. My suits warrning system didint go off... This is not good. there are no Tau females in range... and i highly doubt any of your starfleet females want to mate without this "dateing" thing you other races have. Unfortunate for them realy... Tau are... nevermind, mateing with another race isint wise, we have no idea what would happen. But if you thought Vulcans are nasty when they don't mate... Have you ever seen a Tau male in mateing season? I doubt it... Theres no time to reach any ships of my race, let alone a world. Any ideas?" Kosh says...
