Episode XIX: The Ancients

[Rudger McVanlen]

Anger flows through Rudger as this HK-47 targets Lisa. He felt helpless, on the one side his blood, instincts and beliefs demand he do something to save her, on the other he could not afford to risk his attack making the Endeavour unable to hear the code. He decided he would strike the moment that jade stoped tapping or the moment that HK turns to kill Lisa.

He whispers to Vorak "Sir, If the code dosin't get through and he turns to fire on Lisa I'm going to attack. I doubt i will surrvive but i should hold their fire long enough for you to get his weapon, I have seen first hand how strong Vulcans are sir i know you can. All you need to do is destroy HK-47 then is should be clear, but for my sake and Lisas, i hope the EMP works."

[Commander Vorak]

"If Mr Clark is right it should shut down the shields and the commands coming from the HK unit. Once he realizes we will not have long to attack before he begins firing. Be ready" Vorak told them all quietly. Vorak hoped the Captain would reply soon and save Lisa by pretending to answer his demands while at the same time setting up the pulse.

<Endeavour Bridge>
The Com officer spoke up.
"Captain behind the message I am getting something, a tapping perhaps code. I will decode it."
Moments later he spoke.
"If I am right it tells us to send out an EM pulse for a shutdown of some sort."

[Flt Lt Greg "HITMAN" Campbell]

Campbell to captain- both on the bridge

" Sir I have notice that the weapons on board my fighter has the capabillty- according to the weapons tech- to be adapted to generate the right sort of EMP so that I can shut down the Robots, but I would have to enter the atmosphere and initiate the EMP whilst near the main generator... Permissionto leave the ship and attempt the manuever. "

[Daniel Clark]

Daniel watched the Events unfold hopeing to god that Endeavour would pick up the signel and act upon it in time, because, though he'd never say it because she was with Litchfeild, he liked her

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

Kynes turned to Campbell, before acknowledging the Mech's demands.
"Affirmative, Flight Lieutenant. Keep under the radar, and take all stealth procedures. The scan that Vorak sent us has given us their specs. I trust they will help you evade them more accurately..."
Flight Lieutanant Campbell saluted the Captain, and walked out the door into the turbolift.. Kynes couldn't believe the pressure he was under. He was stressed, and sweat was beading down his brow.

"Open a channel to the Mechs," said Kynes. The Comm officer nodded and acknowledged.

"This is Kynes here. In the scan our Science officer took, we detected a subatomic particle in your main alloy that is susceptible to corrode in our vessel's air atmosphere. A chemical we use to purify our recycled oxygen - SH-5-AM... We will need at least one standard hour to filter it out of our air ducts in order for you to commandeer our ship. Do you understand and acknowledge the terms of this preparation?"

Kynes hoped his ruse would pass the Mechs...

[Commander Vorak]

It seemed to be thinking for a moment, cogs turning. Vorak watched intently hoping that the Hk unit would believe Kynes.
"Acknowledgment: Alright, one hour meat bag. Your officers start dying exactly on the hour."

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

Kynes let out a sigh of relief. At least now they had some time with which to orchestrate their rescue. He opened a com link with Campbell.
"You have one hour to drop the EMP Campbell. It is imperative that they dont detect you. The lives of that team is in your hands. After this, maintain radio silence. It is likely they have tracking on our ship-to-planet communications... Good luck.."

[Lt Matina Jade]

Jade lay in wait, waiting for the moment the commander had eluded to. Once the other droids failed she would have to jump the leader and save Lisa, as would they all. She saw Rudger and made her way over, still ready to pounce.
"You didn't say hi" she said to Mcvanlen.

[Lisa Rogers]

Lisa looked at the coner of her eye to see Jade was talking to Rudger. She smiled. It was about time That Jade talked to him, it was clear to any warm blooded person that She liked him and that he liked her but both of them too dumb brained to even thing to just sit and talk to each other, noted the suitation wasn't the best of times for them to finally get together but it was better than nothing.

Lisa turned her attention back to the HK-47 that had a weapon in her face, Only if she had a opening she could disable him or just get out of there, She noticed Jade Varok and Daniel whisper something to each other hopefully they were formulating a plan, She wished to herself that she could help, she watch the HK-47 closely until Lisa noticed it... a blind spot on the high and right side of the HK's head. Could this be helpful?

Lisa quickly as she knew how hand signalled Varok about it hoping he would pick it up.

[Rudger McVanlen]

"Sorry I never realy had a chance to, reports got in the way. I just havin't had the time, trust me had it been my ay i would have loved to have found you when I came aboard. But first things first we need to save Lisa. we can save talking for when we are back on the endeavour, eating a nice home cooked meal by me." Rudger says, his eyes never leaving HK, but his hand quickly finds Jade's.

[Daniel Clark]

Daniel was exaiming the HK 47 and he suddenly noticed somethiong
"Shit" He muttered before walking over to Vorak "Commander we've got a problem, that thing has some sort of EMP protection if the pulse is at the wrong frequency the HK will reflect it back into space, endeavour would be without power and without power..."

[Commander Vorak]

"Understood, we need some way of telling them to the back away from the planet" he responded.

[Daniel Clark]

"We could try morse again" Daniel suggested

[Commander Vorak]

"No it will notice" Vorak replied "Could you use parts from your tricorder to make a primitive radio signal of which to send a short message?"

[Daniel Clark]

"I'll give it ago sir" Daniel replied before discretly fiddleing with back of his tri corder
