Episode XX: Echoes

[Naomi Tanius]

"YES" she allmost yelled. Her mind was going insane with boredem, if that was even possible. Banging her head againt her consil she looked at the view screen waiting.

[Lt Matina Jade]

Jade watched as the news came on.
"Thank god for that new probe we planted a few miles back. Soon even that signal will run out" she says "then we are alone again."
The screen flickers with static as it plays.

[Flt Lt Greg "HITMAN" Campbell]

Campbell walks onto the bridge

" Good evening Lt, I was out with some of my fighters running some tactical drills when I saw a wierd annomaly which I have never seen before, did you read anything here? "

[Daniel Clark]

"Do we have another probe we could launch?" Daniel asked

[Commander Vorak]

Vorak walked into his quarters and sighed. He lit a candle and sat among them, engaging in a deep nourishing meditation.
He saw before him the calmest place he had ever been, here in his dreams he would rest.
Before him now stood a man, a Vulcan man he knew well. The former Captain Spock. Was this a vision? Or a dream?
"Do not wake, this is not a dream" Spock spoke "I am exercising a tool of this time that has allowed me to leave you this message in you in your mediation."
"How?" Vorak stood in the dream.
"I do not have time to explain. What I must explain is that you must divert course to the fourth planet in the solar system you are now entering at this time."
"How do you know this?"
"The details again are not important, what is at stake is the well being of this quadrant and the balance of power in this galaxy. If you do not prevent it a species that was never meant to have such power will destroy the Federation in my time, an elorian friend of mine was good enough to inform me that this was not the right time line. Nothing can be done by my time, the 24th century. But it can by yours. Do as I ask. Live long and prosper."

Vorak awoke with a start and stood.
He dressed quickly and headed for the bridge.
Storming onto it he spoke up sharply over the silence.
"What is our position?!"

[Lt Matina Jade]

She was startled as she looked up at the commander walking in.
"Ms Tanius can tell you exactly but we have just passed into a far side system."

[Flt Lt Greg "HITMAN" Campbell]

" thank you Lt..."

turns to Tanius

" ok , lets take a look at your readings for the last fifteen mins."

[Commander Vorak]

He stepped down.
"Is there an inhabited planet in the system?"

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"Commander," spoke the Captain, looking up from his seat.
"What is the matter?"

[Commander Vorak]

"Captain, we need to readjust our course for the sake of the Federation" he tells.

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

Captain Kynes cocked his head, and raised an eyebrow.
"Commander, would you care to elaborate?"

[Daniel Clark]

Daniel turned from his console to listen intriged

[Commander Vorak]

"I am not sure Captain, but I was contacted by Captain Spock in the future. He informs me that a race that was never meant to have such technology will destroy the federation by his time. He somehow informed me in my meditation as in this time we can prevent it" he informed.

[Daniel Clark]

"Commander did he say where the technologiy came from" Daniel asked "Cause if it came from us we could have a predestination Paradox on out hands here"

[Lt Matina Jade]

"Why would we give it to them?" she said walking to the back of bridge after giving Kynes command.
