The constituion class USS Adromeda disapeared with all hands. The ship had only been launched eight months prior and no one has been able to figure out what became of the ship and her 1000 men women and children.
A Uridian ship passing through an uninhabited system has reported picking up a starship's disaster beacon and the Endeavour is being dispatched to see if some trace of the starship can be found.
One way or another you all can come up with it in your posts the ship was catapulted all the way out here suffering extreem damage in teh process. The cpatain separated the ship when the warp core could not be stabilized, and the saucer section barely escaped the destruction of the stardrive section. Most of the crew died but before they did they channeled all remaining power to one deck where their childeren had been gathered, hoping they might at least survive this catastrophe.
And the children have survived these fourteen years most never knowing a life aside from their crippled starship a few remember their parents the oldest remember a little more.
Unknown to the children the starboard impulse drive which has provided life support and replicators for them has begun to fail and ad the same time the saucer section si drifting closer and closer to the star as the orbit decays.

<< Micha oldest leaderof the survivors she is intelligent but fears to do anything which might bring harm to them or go against the whishes of theirp parents which they only have some recorded messages to go by
<< John A resourceful young man who has a talent for fixing things he has managed to make some minor rpeairs over time, and has knowledge of some ship systems albeit limited.
<< Allan a troubled youth who uses sarcasm a lot and is diametricly apposed to any kind of change. He is paralysed from the waist down.
