The USS Endeavour is on it's way to Sol sapce dock for some much needed upgrades and halfway there the ships are attacked by unknown forces.
The ship takes heavy damage and our captian orders the ship into the atmosphere of an unknown planet.
While passing thorugh the upper atmosphere the ship is struck by a powerful energy discharge which fries more systems

Once on the surface we must find a way to make repairs and restore power or be stranded there forever.

I got an idea to add. Got it from TAS. The energy discharge wasent a random hapening. But was from a groupe of diff speacies that have been traped on the planet and have come to ther peace with ther new life. A planet of peace. The ppl have been ther for eyos and have barly adged a year. Gorn, Klingon, Romulan, Volcan, Andorian, Orian, ect...

Uhh, one problem with that idea. If you have seen ST III: The Search for Spock, you would know that a vessel such as the Enterprise, or Endeavour would burn up upon entering the atmosphere. The only ship(s) to my knowledge that have landing struts is the Intrepid class.

The galaxy class did not burn up in Generations, I think its a case of controlled speed otherwise non of the space crafts would have ever come home in this day and age.

If you remeber. They blow up the Enterprise witht he Klingons in it and the ship is pulled in by the gravitational pull and the sheildless shell of a ship burns in the atmospher.
