The Soyuz-class was a type of Federation starship in operation during the late 23rd century. The class was retired by 2290.
The class design was based on the Miranda-class already in operation, and featured an enlarged aft cargo and shuttlebay section, as well as several large outboard sensor pods (which strongly resemble heavy weapon mounts). The class was approximately 243 meters in length.
