This is an epic poem... about Sodium (the stuff that makes salt, for those who didn't know.) I had it for a Science Assignment at school, and I had positive feedback for the last one I posted, so here it is. Note that this is just a poem, not a song as most of the stuff I'll post here will be. Unless... Well, if you guys like it I'm sure I could attach a jingle to it. Anyways, enough of that... Enjoy.
[glow=red,2,300]Sodium: A Poetic Tribute By C.P Fynes[/glow]
I: History Immune to Catastrophe She spans the Galaxy A giver of human health.
The taste of commerce A Warriors Promise The vision of ancient wealth
How strange it seems Their hopes and dreams Could be seared with a knife
They thought it rare A gift of care A bringer of human life
But it was rife And love began to wear So began the age of strife…
II: The Dream Mineral Discovered by Humphrey Davy Salt’s taste appeals to me Ability as far as the eye can see To hate it would be crazy!
Resting upon the Earth’s crust An Alkali Metal, shall it rust? Discovered in 1807
All her motives, they are just… Atomic number equals eleven Built so small, a speck of dust.
Sodium Chloride Her use is bonified Her abundance, sweet with pride.
Warms the ice of winter’s year Cools the reactor, powered nuclear Sodium’s properties, justified.
Her name is sodium Immune to any odium A Symphony of melodium
Salt, a taste of smiles Sodium, so versatile A discovery worth while!
