Episode XII: Seven Deadly Sins

[Commander Vorak]

Acting Captains Log, Stardate 9621.7
We are nearing the end of known space and are about to set course for the unknown. The crew are humanly eager and excitable to be returning to our primary mission even with our without our Captain and Tactical Officer onboard.

Vorak handed a report to a yeoman and returned to viewing the screen, seeing a green planet coming into view he turns to Zepplin.
"Scans Mr Zepplin, Mcvalen standard orbit."

[zepplin]

"Scanning the Sector now sir." Zepplin replied currently manning the Science Station
"Planet appears to be, class M." looking up "Oxygen nitrogen atmosphere... it appears there are no life signs available, however, civilisation appears to have been present at some point on the western continent, sir."

[Commander Vorak]

"Alright, mabey a survey of the ruins would be benifical to the crew. Mcvalen, Zepplin, Trill and Jade with me. Trill prepare to take tricorder notes."
-COM- Clark and Mcanimire to the transporter room -COM-
They made their way into the turbolift and was soon on the planet surface looking as the ancient ruins of an old building.
"Span out, Doctor study any animal or humanoid remains. Zepplin and Trill gather data. Jade keep watch, Clark see if you can find any traces of tecnology why myself and Mcvalen study the ruins."

As usual, the landing party fanned out, with many people going off own their own to explore the area.
Zepplin found himself scanning with the tricorder slung over his shoulder, he was wearing the casual landing party jacket. He walked into a section of the ruins and he found nothing.
Flipping out his tri-corder he said.
" :-XMr. Vorak, Zepplin here sir, scanning is negative, I have found no signs of life in the humanoid or animal form, there does appear to be some form of plant life, various flora seems to be scattered all over the land. " He paused standing by.

[Commander Vorak]

:-XUnderstood, Inform Mr Trill to join you and perhaps the Doctor as well if he isn't busy he says and closes his communicator, placing it back in his jacket pocket.
He kneels down and joins Mcvalen in the study of the artifacts. Vorak begins scanning for a moment before coming across a symbol.
"Mr Mcvalen, look at this" he calls over. Looked up for a second Vorak notices seven of these monuments scattered around in a perfect circle, and in the middle what at some point must have been a temple.

Zepplin closed his communicator and stuch it back on his utility belt.
"Ensign Trill!" he called out.
"Ensign, take soil samples of the surrounding area, and maybe bring back a couple of the plants in bio containters for study, after that, search the eastern side a little more and stand by for further orders." Zepplin says as he walks away to continue scanning another part of the planets surface.

[Lt Matina Jade]

Jade stood looking around at the seemingly deserted surface and wondered 'whats the point.' She looked over and saw the others studying planets and ruins.
"Men" she sighed.

Daniel was also looking around but there wasn't much to see

Vorak and Mcvalen continued to study the artifacts. As Vorak got up to walk he walked past one of the monuments and for a second he swore he saw it glow, and a strange sensation over came him. After a second he was fine and choose to ignore it.

“Right, Lieutenant” Dorian Trill said walking towards a highly dense area of forest, his tricorder collecting tons of data. The planet seemed perfectly habitable, a pleasant vacation spot. Dorian had overheard that there was an ancient civilization on the western continent. What happened to the inhabitants?

As Dorian walked through the jungle he noticed somthing strange on the ground. The instant he picked it up his hands began to twitch and sting, almost like pins and needles. His hands began to shake, and he felt a cool sweat coming on. He dropped the ... what ever it was, and he was about to open his communicator, when, all of a sudden, his symptoms stopped. How very odd!

He shook off this mysterious warning sign and continued along the natural path made by corrosion. A stream once laid here, many, perhaps millions of, years ago. He bend down, scooped a bit of soil into his bio-molecular container. “Computer, Analyze Soil Content.” He commanded.

“Soil Content Analyze Is As Followed. The Sample Contains The Average Amount Of Minerals. These Contain Hydrogen, Oxygen, Carbon, And Low Levels Of Iron.” The voice of the computer was filled with no expression. “I see.” He mumbled, setting off deeper into the forest.

Suddenly, Dorian felt extremely dizzy and fell to the floor. His head was pounded, his body throbbing. Opened his communicator and said, Dorian To The Doctor. Are You On The … Argg Everything was hurting. His throat was burning and it hurt to speak. :-XI Require Your Assistance. I Believe I Am Having An … Argg … A Medical Emergency!"

[zepplin]

Zepplin heard his communicator beeped and flipped it out.
" ...Medical Emergency! "
" Trill. Come in! Trill respond! Commander Vorak this is Zepplin come in please. " He failed to comply.

Rushing over toward Trills position, he found him laying on the ground,

"C'mon Trill, wake up, c'mon." he said loosing breathe
" Dr. MacAinmire, this guy requires 'Medical Assistance' he..."
Trill began to get up slowly.
"Standby Trill, are you ok?" Trill appeared to be perfectly fine.

[Rudger McVanlen]

A few minutes before trills cry...

Rudger walked over to a statue of a man loungeing in a chair with his arms lieing limp at his sides. It glowed for a moment and Rudger stumbled backwards with his hands on his head. "What the hell!?" Then he heard Trills cry and started runing to trill...

[Beathan MacAinmire]

Beathan began to run to help Dorain. He arived at the officers side? "I thot you cald for a medical emergancy?"

[zepplin]

"Umm, actually I did say stand-by, he was in massive amounts of pain, and now." Zepplin looked back at Trill.
"Well, now he seems fine, sorry for calling you over Doc. Alright Ensign, back to work."

[Beathan MacAinmire]

Beathan began to run to help Dorain. He arived at the officers side? "I thot you cald for a medical emergancy?"
