Episode XIV: Ploys Of The Mind

[Commander Vorak]

Vorak walked out of the turboshaft and relieved the newly made Lt Commander Mcvalen from command.
"Report" he calls.

[Lt Matina Jade]

She works at the security station tapping her fingers at the lack of activity. She was thinking over everything that has happened recently. She looked over and sneered and Lichfield after their recent fight and then over to Mcvalen who she envied for his new promotion. Suddenly a few consoles begin to beep.
"Its a distress call, Communications?" she says looking over to the new Ensign.

[Will Litchfield]

Will looked at Jade sneering at him sadly and looked at the com officer.

[Louis de-Point du lac]

"Repeat we are in an esacpe pod. Myself and my commanding officer are the last survivours of our vessel. It was destroyed by hostile forces. Anyone receiving this we need immediate aid" came a voice over the speakers.

[Commander Vorak]

Vorak rasied an eyebrow.
-COM- Captain Kynes to the Bridge -COM-
"Ensign, inform them we are on our way. Helm set a course. Standbye to engage on the captains approval" he orded.

[Rudger McVanlen]

"Course set Sir, shall i pick them up? Or move adjasent to them?" Rudger asks while his hands dance across his console.

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"Report," said Kynes as he came up onto the bridge, from an interrupted rest.
"Sir, we've detected an Escape pod from a vessel. Reading two lifesigns, faint but steady."
"Move us in on it. Do you have any readings as to who they may be?"
"The polaron radiation is very high in the outer shell of the pod, but I do believe it's Valen..."
Kynes nodded.
"Take us in, and tractor the Pod into the Containment Bay. Send an Engineering, Security and Medical team there immediately. We need to find out what happened. Aden, signal the Olen that there has been an escape pod that's wandered stray into their space. They have the right to know."

[Beathan MacAinmire]

Beathan rushed to the Containment Bay with some of his Medical staff. He looke around and saw some Security and Engineering.
"I see that The fire department, the Ambulance and the Police are here, but who called 911?" He asked jokingly.

[Will Litchfield]

Will had looked on at all this with interest, wondering why his departement was never needed, Jades words came back into his head.
'pressing a button on your arse'

[Commander Vorak]

Voraks makes a scan and moves down beside the Captains chair.
"Curious Valens would be so far from there space" he comments to Kynes before turning to Connor "Engage tractor beam, Aden attemp to hail."

[zepplin]

"Ayes sir, engaging tractor beam."
As the tractor beam was engaged the pod was shaken slightly before being directed into the shuttle bay
Zepplin activated the internal comm. "=COMM=Stand clear of pod, I say again stand clear of pod.=COMM="
The pod came threw the open shuttle bay doors, now guided by an internel tractor beam, and came to rest on the floor before the deck was repressurised. The pod had arrived safely.
"Captain, shuttle bay 1 reports the Valen pod has arrived safely." Zepplin said, in the absense of their new communications officer.

[Louis de-Point du lac]

The door opens and from it Lestat emerges followed by Louis.
Louis looks around, very bright! He thought wincing his eyes.
He saw a few shapes approach that faded into officers.

[Beathan MacAinmire]

"You boy ok?" Ya look like your saring righ' at the sun!"Beathan said puuting out his hand to help them to ther feet.

"I am not use to such brightness" he says in a soft voice "You are a surgen?"

[Beathan MacAinmire]

"A surg..Eya I be a doctor. If ya get up Thes fine Officers will lead ya to Sickbay." He said motioning two of the securaty officers.
