OOC: im am senior to you in service time, read the Chain of command again, i am senior to you, not in the same way as a full Lt. or higher, but non the less, i am senior to you. And Stop calling me KID Damit. IC: "Jade, now would be a good time to pull a security trick out and save us before they know we are free" i say nervisly... OOC: WHAT? the Mixed Vulcan is a prisoner Karl? how can he give them a head start. IC: "...at least, I wish I could, but I do have a way, and I'll need your help to do it, my name is..." The Vulcan comes out of the light and reveals that he looks Vulcan, not unlike a normal vulcan, but he is still different "...T'rel, if you can cause a distraction, I know the way off here, having lived in this place for many years now."

OOC: I think it would be better if he was also a captive. It would make WAAAAY more sense. After all, the Altanians have a general disdain for extraterrestrials. Why would they employ a Vulcan? And the Vulcan idea was C. Wainer's to begin with. I think he should choose.
RPG: Kynes came onboard the lead ship of the fleet that had saved them. Their bridge was composed of two stories, and at least 20 Altanians were manning the consoles, and carrying out minor repairs caused by the battle. "Greetings, Captain Kynes," said Jarn, coming out of a door. With open arms, he embraced a suprised Kynes and greeted him in the proper altanian manner. "First, let me say that I am truely sorry about the destruction of your world... It was a terribl-" "It was not your fault, oyoanxx," said Jarn, using the untranslated translation of Outsider. Kynes nodded solemnly. "We appear to be in your debt, Jarn," said Kynes, walking with Jarn along the walkway of the bridge. "If it weren't for you, my vessel and I would be spacedust..." "We simply helped a fellow spacefarer in need," said Jarn, trying to recreate his interpretation of a smile. It looked ridiculous on the Altanian, but it conveyed the same fashion of warm feeling the expression was originally made to form.
"We would like you and your crew to come with us to Lana City. It's on Altan Seven, and your crew looks like it could use some shore leave," the Altanian captain said. "We can discuss the future of Altan and your Federation together there."
Kynes nodded, and shook Jarn's hand. "I would be honoured to. I believe Lieutenant Clark has brought back engines to power." Alexander opened his communicator. "Captain Kynes to Endeavour. McVanlen, set a course for Altan VII. Kynes out."

Lyana stood beside Vorak. T'rel looked very battered, scarred by years of Altanian treachery. From what she could tell, the Altanians had tortured him to give information about Federation technology.

It wasn't long before the Endeavour and her crew had docked with Ti'ru Station, an orbital platform above the skies of Altan VII. After transporting down, Kynes and the rest of the senior officers were greeted with the utmost hospitality. Although Lana City had the atmosphere of a bloated frontier colony, the inhabitants of the cramped settlement didn't seem to mind. Although they had recently received word of their homeworld's destruction. Many of them did not seem as effected as one would think. Most of the Lana-Altanians had never even set foot on the homeworld's soil.
Kynes and a selection of his officers entered the Senate Chamber. At least two dozen officials took their places in the demi-circle of seating, and Jarn led the Endeavour officers to their own chairs. Sitting down, the council session began...
"Captain Alexander Kynes, of the United Federation of Planets..." began the Prime Minister. "By the power of the New Altanian parliament, I declare a new era of prosperity between the Altanian and human peoples!" Solemn cheers of approval sounded throughout the chamber.
"Through their ignorance, and their violent ways. The old civilizations were brought to their knees by their own lust for veangeance, to right wrongs commited many generations ago. The new traditions of Altan were brought to the outer rim of the holy system, to preserve the greatness of our society. Now... we are all that is left. We are the parents of a new Altan. And a new method of commerce with other cultures, despite our differences..."
The prime minister turned to look at the Endeavour's representatives. "What say you, Federation?" Kynes stood up, and brushed off the dust from his sleeves. "Representing the Federation's greatest interests, I propose an alliance. Should you ally with the Federation, I'm sure we could lend you a helping hand in rebuilding your civilization, as well as salvaging the remnants of the old empire." The Prime minister smiled. "It shall be done. As a sign of this new alliance, shall we dispatch a joint task force of research to the old world, to recover their knowledge. Do you accept this?" Kynes nodded. "I believe we do." "Good... There is only one item of valued materialism on that world that could never be replaced. It is the scepter of Zianxx, and it was always to be guarded in the catacombs of Lamarr. He who holds the scepter, paves the way for the Altanian people. It is a prized artifact, and it must be retreved. In this quest, we ask that Commandant Jarn accompany you on your mission. He knows much of the homeworld, and could prove to be of assistance..."
It had only taken one day for Altan III to be destroyed. And now, on that same day, measures were being taken to restore the culture of that planet back to a desired level of prosperity. Needless to say, it had been quite an eventful day, and Kynes needed some rest. But a new adventure loomed on the horizon. After all, this was just another day on the frontiers of discovery...
