Episode V: The Voices of Reason

"Well, we charge them, get to our com badages and get off a message, then try to take the ship. If we can get 2 phasors or disruptors we can take it. Then i can fly it back to the Endeavor" i say...

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

A deep anger had built up inside of Alexander. He was responsible for the well-being of his crew, and Vanlen and Jade were no exception. Despite the Altanian's supposed desire for peace, Kynes had seen little evidence that they were ready to settle down.

Suddenly on his planetary scanner, Kynes detected a large uprising of gunfire and use of weaponry on the planet. It appeared that full warfare had commenced on the planet.
"Hail the Altanian council," said Kynes, trying to hide his anger, but to no sucess.
"Captain Kynes," said the Altanian Prime Minister.
"It is so good to see you. I'm pleased to also inform you that your services of diplomacy are no longer needed. We have the insurgence under control."
Kynes hands curled up into fists.
"Two of our officers have been abducted by an Altanian vessel. We must have them back."
The Altanian's face curled into something of a guilty frown.
"Our new peace agreement with the Federation demands their vassalage to the Altanian Civilized Peoples. I apologize, but they are gone to you. The Barbaric peoples have been recently using quite concerning weaponry, and your two officers will help bring Altan III to peace once again!"
The scanner detected several Quantum Planet-Killing Missiles decimate the coast of the largest continent on Altan. The war had escalated to the usage of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

"They are citizens of the Federa-"
"They are property of the Altanian Civilized. If you refuse to leave our system, we will be forced to dispatch a fleet to escort you out of life."

"Sir, detecting 3 Av'let Battlecruisers of our port bow. They're polarizing their Photon Ram..."

"We're not leaving without them," shouted Kynes.

"Red Alert! All hands to battlestations!"


The battle of Altan III was just beginning...

The head Av'let destroyer charged it's Photon ram. A large stub of alloy metals, it could efficiently break through the Endeavour's hull.
"Lieutenant Clark, increase engine power. We don't want to get hit by those rams."
Kynes sat in his chair, and tapped several commands into his chair arm.
"Target the lead ship's engines, and fire!"

Kynes watched out the viewscreen as 2 flights of I'eej class fighters emerged from the lead ship's hangar bay. Kynes felt the rock of the ship as the fightercrafts pattered the ship with their distruptor fire.
"Deploy all available fighter wings!" the Captain ordered, as 12 Federation auxiliary fighters began to defend the Endeavour.

OOC: Someone want to post the part where the Endeavour gets rammed and the Altanian marines board the Endeavour?

OOC: hate to be a bug but...there were no fighters entill late in DS9...federation or anywhere else... just saying.

OOC: Actually, there were. Star Trek: Shattered Universe takes place in the movies period on the original Excelsior, and it had fighters coming out the nose. By the way, please stop doing OOC posts on the Mission Board. It clogs it up!

IC: The Altanian cruisers were faster then Kynes had thought. The ram crashed into Endeavour's side, the ship's hull screaming in metal agony.
"Hull breach on Deck 9, 10, and 11!" screamed a crewman.
"Send repair crews down there!" Kynes cried, as fighters blazed by the bridge, laying down volley after volley of fire.

The ram had ripped right through the shield and into the hull. The Altanian Av'let ram had lodged itself right into the Endeavour's side. Scanners now indicated that specially trained Altanian Space Marines had boarded the Endeavour through the gaping hole in her side.

"All Security crews, report to the damaged area," ordered Kynes through the speakers.
"We must not let them invade our ship!"
'If only Lieutenant Jade were here...' he thought, as the viewscreen portrayed three squadrons of Marines storming through the depressurized sections of the damaged Endeavour.

[Lt Matina Jade]

"Oh and I guess you have a plan for getting past that forcefield!" he snapped at him.

[Rudger McVanlen]

"I ment when they come for us Ma'm... ah we might not be able to reach them before they get us though..." i say disheartedly...

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"Sir, we've detected Lieutenant Jade and Lieutenant (JG) Vanlen's lifesigns on a Research station on the other side of the planet!"
"Helm, full impulse! And while you're at it, try to break free of that blasted battlecruiser!"
Meanwhile, the Security teams and Marines were defending the Endeavour, from within the corridors of Deck 9. Phaser blasts lit up the hallway, and the floor was covered in Altanian corpses.

[Lt Matina Jade]

"Well we will see, why are you always so affaid" she said rolling her eyes.

[Rudger McVanlen]

"I am not, but snaping at me dosin't make me feel better, it's just... ehh i don't know. Wait i hear someone comeing, do we rush or not Lt.?" I ask...

[Lt Matina Jade]

"Lets wait and see" she said before hearing the footsteps pass "flase alarm" she added.

OOC: i 5think thsi would be a godo time for rudger to talk to jade, figure what makes her tick so a freindship can develop and ultimatly tune her down
