As the New Year's Celebration came to a close, Kynes returned to the party, and watched as groups of pleased crewmembers exited the Mess Hall. Within a few minutes, the Mess Hall had been practically vacated, save him and a few Galley personnel.
"Happy New Year, Endeavour..." muttered Kynes, picking up a few slices of cake to bring back to his quarters.
Packing up the cake, he retreated back to his quarters, to retire for the night.
