New Year Celebration

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

The crew had assembled in the Mess Hall, waiting for the coming of the new year.
"I want to wish everyone a happy 2293!" cried Kynes from the podium.
"This past month has been a pleasure, and I wouldn't serve with any other crew then you guys. Happy New Year!"
Kynes cracked open a bottle of replicated champagne, and cheers erupted throughout the hall.

[Commander Vorak]

He raised a glass and drank to it, but as perusual did not cheer.

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

As the celebration accelerated to full swing, Alexander navigated the sea of crewmen to Commander Vorak.
"Enjoying yourself?" Captain Kynes asked jokingly.

[Commander Vorak]

"No need to insult me Captain, but I do make sure to attend all ship fuctions."

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"Ahh, I was just joking around, old friend. I wasn't insulting you. You Vulcans take things too personally," Kynes said taking a drink of his beverage.

[Commander Vorak]

"I you believe so Captain" he said before turning and looking at the others. "Strange how they can be such a crew and also be this way off duty."

[Rudger McVanlen]

On the other side of the room 6 scots and myself begin signing a rather jolly tune, from the sounds we are all drunk out of our wits...

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"When your out on a deep space exploration mission," Alexander told Vorak.
"You need to be more then a crew. You need to be a family."
Kynes eyes shifted to Vanlen, who seemed to be having quite a nice time.
"Well it's good to know we have some people who really know how to party."

[Rudger McVanlen]

I came over supporting an even drunker engineer and gave an attempt at a salute, not an easy thing while drunk and supporting an almost passed out engineer! I said "Ello zirs... I highly sugjest youu try the 40' ale, its a great year, and i have to depostite this engineer back in his quarters before he drinks himself the rest of the way under the table!" I say laughing. I call over another half drunk man to help me lug the man back to his quarters, we return half an hour later to rejoin the party, and we attempt to convince commander vorak into joining us...

[Commander Vorak]

"Thankyou for the sujestion but I shall pass Ensign."

[Rudger McVanlen]

I frown at the commander "oh fine, but yer missing out on something we dont get to do often. bah how about you captain, we could use another voice to add to our next song" i say...

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

This time around, Captain Kynes couldn't help but burst out laughing as Vanlen and his friends danced around and singing with their drunken impediments.

[Lt Matina Jade]

Jade had sat in the corner all evening and although she was feeling light headed she never had thought to join in showing away anyone who tried.

I walked over by Jade and said "Hey, whatcha sitin over here mopeing for, come on...you dont want to be compared to a vulcan do ya?!!" i say jokeingly...

"I am no Vulcan!" she cried and threw a glass at him "No wget away from me you drunken pig."
