Zepplin and Rogers had arrived on the bridge, after both there bridge duties were simultaneously completed for the day.
"I'll handle it for twenty minutes ensign, you can have a short break."
"Thanks you sir." comes the reply of the young ensign who was on bridge duty for operations.
"Alright Rogers, I'll show you around the basic console. As you are aware, all consoles have converted from duo-tronic, to tri-tronic type systems, increasing the efficiency of data retrieval and entry by over 1000%. I have limited sensor abilities here, but a general life-signs and hostile alert sensors are available to me here. But, the console, as you should be aware also ensign, controls most key equipment, such as mass transporters, inertial dampeners, log buoys, tractor beams, and alike, all from here, I'll leave you to it for a minute while I check the recent happenings of the past two hours I was away." he says with a smile, swinging the large seat around to face the Ensign before walking over to the Duty Officer.
