Department Report

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"Good day everyone," began the Captain, stretching out his arms.

"So now that we've all arrived, may we begin the full reports... Lieutenant Clark, why don't you begin?" he asked with a friendly smile.

[Daniel Clark]

'Err well, everything seems to be working OK, we've been having trouble with the life support systym but thats the only thing i think, the Engineering crew is working hard and I believe we can survive anything the galaxy puts against us Sir' Said Daniel

[Commander Vorak]

"That is unlikely Mr Clark, many alien lifeforms we have incountered can indeed beat us for speed."

[Daniel Clark]

'Commander i wasn't just referring to speed' responded Daniel

[Commander Vorak]

"Then please do explain your comments" he sighed.

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"Commander Vorak, a ship and it's crew can't simply be rated by it's technological capabilities. We have a very dedicated, passionate crew. Are you familiar with the ancient Earth battle of Thermopylae?" offered the Captain.

[Commander Vorak]

"I dont believe so sir."

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"300 Greeks made their final defense in the valley of Thermopylae, against 3 hundred thousand Persians. Through wit, and perserverence, the Greeks were able to keep the Persians at bay until reinforcements arrived."

[Rudger McVanlen]

I come into the room saluteing the higher ranking officers and sayinh "Sorry im late Sir, I only just transfered and was not informed there was a meeting" I took an extra seat and faced the captain.

[Commander Vorak]

"Science Report sir; Three new sensor grids have been activated, we are now at full sensor capacity" he added to his earlier report.

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"Good work, Commander. Ensign Vanlen, do you have a report on Navigation. Has the exploration itenerary been installed onto the computer database?" Captain Kynes asked.

[Rudger McVanlen]

"I did a quick look over of our nav systems, it seams the repair crews forgot to run checks, half our star maps are gone, and the rest outdated. It seams one of the hits the ship took damaged the nav computers. But i contacted the station and they are sending over the new star maps and we should be nav ready in 3 hours at the lateist. Other then that everythings working well in nav" i say.

[Lt Matina Jade]

"Typical Starbase procedure if you ask me, they never get it right first time. your better with a drydock. Anyway security staff are ready sir, the new ablemen are running simulations as we speak."

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"Good work, Ms. Jade. Those ablemen were selected as the best of their classes for this assignment. I'm sure they will be efficient at their various tasks."

"Operations report sir, all main junctions and areas of the ship have been fully checked, I have run a level 2 diagnostic on all key systems including tractor beam, sensor erray and deflector dish. We have full power, and resources of this power are running at a 85% efficientcy, on average."
