Kynes looked over the charts of the new crew roster. There were spaces that would need to be filled. He opened his communicator.
"Lieutenant (JG) McAinmire, can you please come to my ready room as soon as possible? Thank you."

the door wushed open and Beathan steped in.
"Ya wanted ta see me Cap'ain?"

"Please take a seat, Mr. McAinmire," said Captain Kynes, taking a drink from his coffee.
"Would you like something to drink?" the captain asked. After hearing McAinmire's response, he gave him his preferred beverage, and sat in his chair.
"As you know, Lieutenant Nathra Dray was killed in action, during the altercation with the Klingons. As you were second in command, I believe it would be appropriate to receive the torch, and henceforth take the responsibilites and priveleges of the Chief Medical Officer, and a promotion."

I hear about Macainmires promotion and waylay him on his way out of the captain's office. "Hello Sir" I say a grin on my face. "Congratulations on your promotion" i clap him on the back and say "Shall i buy you a drink to cellabrate?" i ask.

"Enter," said Kynes looking up from his work. As Vanlen came up, Alexander pushed aside some of his work to clear room on his table.
"Good day, Mr. Vanlen. What can I do for you?"

OOC: ok, whats with that anyway? I mean how about Kirk? or is this some little girly idea to impress the Captain, dont get me wrong sir, your a fine officer, but really, this is a bit much,its almost as bad as Captain Picard day.
