The V'ytorrek (created by Kynes/Conor)
History:
Deep within the Andromeda galaxy, the V'ytorrek empire spans almost one third of the Andromedan galaxy, and has expanded into one of the greatest civilizations in the universe.
Long ago, they were a race of humanoids, who worked their bodies to exhaustion. The early V'ytorrek knew nothing of war, or hatred or even jealousy! They were very hard working, and with this fervor to make their world a better place, they discovered the wonders of warpdrive, interplanetary colonization, and the pains of war.
Several Terran years after colonizing the first interstellar world, the V'ytorrek made their first contact with other species. This was a rough area at the time, and the neighboring species were fueled by war and cannibalism. The V'ytorrek (much more intelligent then their war-like neighbors) were very concerned by these creatures, so they taught themselves the art of war. They furnished their own weaponry, and within a few years, their new knowledge of violence had spawned them a Legion of Defense. A war with these barbarians was inevitable, and the next 300 years was tainted with constant attacks from barbarian fleets, and the sorrow of countless wars. The V'ytorrek however, remained united as a species, and eventually overcame the enemy. Using their new biological weapons, they obliterated the homeworlds of their alien oppressors, and continued their tapestry of progress.
Although this period of war gave little technological progress to the V'ytorrek, it would drastically change the future for them. Branding all aliens as 'evil,' they quickly expanded through the cosmos, isolating themselves from extraterrestrial contact. They focused their economy on Research and Development, and they easily surpassed the aliens in progress.
As the V'ytorrek society evolved, they began to see the alien species in a different light. Instead of being instant enemies, they deemed the aliens as suitable slaves for their new interstellar empire. Using their technology to their advantage, the V'ytorrek 'coerced' the aliens into working under their empire. At this time period, the V'ytorrek could bypass Warp 8. Their side of the Andromedan galaxy was generally primitive, so the V'ytorrek finally ascertained control over the majority of the andromedan Alpha Quadrant.
Throughout this whole time, the V'ytorrek had begun to evolve biologically, as well. With their new technology, they had no more use in physical labour, so their species began to lose its physical potency. With the help of some inter-species breeding, the mass of the V'ytorrek people had eventually changed from a race of strong humanoids, to small fetal-like creatures. The V'ytorrek made up for this physical setback with robotic suits to wear. These new cybernetic bodies gave them new strength, lifespan, and endurance beyond anything they could ever have imagined.
Time passed by, and the discovery of temporal weapons gave new benefits to the V'ytorrek Directorate. With this breakthrough in temporal technology, the Directorate came up with a plan, to learn the wonders of time travel, then travel back to the V'ytorrek's past and give them the technology of the present. This, according to the Research Council's calculations, would result in the present day technology of their species to be improved exponentially. Eager to exploit these possibilities, the Directorate comissioned a fleet of Temporally enhanced vessels, to carry out a series of experiments.
The VDV Aeion-Zeir-IK4 was one such vessel. It was tasked to perform the most dangerous of the experiments. All was proceeding well with their mission until the event that many of the V'ytorrek call the 'Divine Hand.' The VDV Aeion Zeir was trying to modulate the frequency of a nearby wormhole to lead into another timeframe. This experiment failed however, and resulted in a catastrophe, that obliterated everything within 30 light years distance.
The Aeion Zeir was the only 'technical' survivor of the Divine Hand. They were thrown 100 years into the past, and into the Milky Way Galaxy's Alpha Quadrant. The Aeion Zeir was now stranded in an alien galaxy, unable to contact their empire. Calculating that they would not have enough power to cross to void in between galaxies and back into their own realm, they resorted to starting fresh in Milky Way. They decided to follow the basic instruction of the Defense Force: 'Expansion, Knowledge, Prosperity.' The Aeion Zeir resorted to expanding the Directorate's empire into a new galaxy. Calling it the New V'ytorrek Directorate, this new empire was just starting. As the inhabitants of this new galaxy were very primitive compared to their own standards, the stranded V'ytorrek began recruiting species into their new government. Those who didn't accept the reign of the V'ytorrek, were obliterated.
