The Pair walk into the Mess Hall. "Well Major this is it, here lets sit at the bar." The walk over and sit down. "May I help you?" the bartendor asks. "Yes, I'll have... hmm, can't really decide actually, I'll have what he's having. What'll it be Major?"

"Takaleen fire wine, straight up" he replied and sat.

"Sounds interesting." Zepplin puts up two fingers like the ancient symbol for peace to imply the two beverages. "So, how long have you been a marine?" Zepplin asks as they wait for the drinks to arrive.

"Since I was 19 years old" he says taking a seat "the training buffed me up to over 200 pounds and sent me out to fight some Romulans. Nice first mission that turned out to be.

"I'll bet." The drinks arrived and were placed on the table. Zepplin took a sip. "Woah! Now that's strong stuff! Woo." putting the drink back down he continued their conversation. "What was it that made you want to become a Marine as apposed to a Starfleet Officer, hey I know we don't do exactly the same training, but if you ask me, we could be one giant service if they did it right, don't you agree?" Zepplin said pausing as he took another drink, tilting his head diagonally at the reaction to finishing the beverage. He indicated for another.

"In a military sense yeah" he says brushing the glass agains't his lips and sighing at the strengh of the wine "but I prefer not to be scanning comets on off days if you get what I mean."

Zepplin chuckled slightly "Yes, but then you have days like this where you have nothing really do to, I mean I may get the off boring job from time to time, but some of the missions I've had on the bridges of ships, have been the best missions ever, have you had a chance to read some of Endeavours previous mission reports? Well, we've had some crazy times here, as you know, always expect the unexpected in space." Zepplin said smiling before taking a smaller sip of his drink this time. "Have you always been on starships? I thought Marines prefered to have ground postings most of the time?" Zepplin asked the marine

"No, I have only been on two ships. This being the second. Before this I served to fortify the Klingon cold war on planets, space stations and the like. Even was part of a defense force in my youth" he replied.

"Your youth? Right, of course. I can understand some of the reasons for your resentment towards Klingons, I personally dont think any differently, I just can't stand the thought that we would make peace with them, a race so... driven by war, it seems unlikely that they would do this so openly, it would be more like them to continue fighting as Klingons even if it killed them. I wonder if they really have changed?"

"You can't fight with out legs to stand on. And lossing your key production of dilthium and your home world will take your legs from you" he replied.

Zepplin couldn't help but let out a short laugh. "That's for sure," He moves his chair closer and lowers the level of his voice. "Do you believe the Federations actions are the right ones? I mean sure, I would never go against what they decide on doing, but do you think this will end well for both sides?" he asks.

"I agree, but what can we do. Mutiny?" he asked "that would be way out of line."

"No, no ofcourse not, we would still follow orders untill it was down to us to take matters into our own hands, such as the klingons firing upon us would be a good excuse to disregard orders." "But no, there would be no way, nor no reason we should.. mutiny against the entire Federation, I'm sure there's someone who would do it though." Zepplin pointed out taking a sip.

Zepplin laughed quite loud. "If only..." he burst into another laugh "If only we let them in first, right?" He continued to laugh. "No really, I mean there would be someone high up enough in Starfleet to want to avoid this from happening."
