Enough with the two ns, its my characters name as well, you'd think you could spell it after reading it a billion times. (I am 'so' not in the mood right now) Screaming is lame, and it shows they have emotional issues, and aren't willing to talk about real life issues, instead of talking about 'hey, we could all die from nuclear bombs, maybe we should do something?' its all 'waa waa, my girlfriend left me because i'm an idiot, or maybe because of this music is, waa waa'

Hey ever listened to any pop music recently? Its all about love this and break ups that. Most rock IS not about that shit, it about alot of things. I think your confusing it with crappy emo rock.

Hey don't bring rock into this, don't try and taint the glorious rock with words like heavy metal, and screaming crap, or whatever you call it, rock is not that, that is an excuse of rock. Totally different rock and I go way back (being born in the 80s helps (yes thats right kids, your kids, get over it)) it has nothing to do with this, and pop songs aren't good either, I'm merely stating my opinion because I am a very opinionated person.

lol, your 17 conor, your not even an adult yet. your still a kid (and hell your a kid till your 25 as far as most 40+ people are conserned).
and i like alot of differint music. Emo stuff sucks, but so dos elvis. lame he was, yodo i suddenly am. know not why i do. lol
But there are some what you call "Screeming" bands witch are good. though most suck. Some, such as Korn (witch dos barely any screaming). and others like, well known coe to mind. but a hell of allot of heavy metal/black metal/dark metal, (korn, mettalica, ironmaiden, Evanesence, slipknot, Night Wish, Within Temptations, ect ect.) are very very good. there are just to many realy fracking good bands out there. then theres classical music, witch is the root of almost all modern music. and rightfuly so. Classical music can be accounted for pretty much all forms of rock and metal (this from the mouths of the metal/rock bands themselfs btw) and the Violin has to be the single best invention man kind ever made. One man/women with skill can make anyone brake down crying in sadness or joy with a violin, and one Violin can do quite alot. get an army of them going and you have all the music you will ever need. So IMO classical is the best bar none.

Screaming is very subjective. You could say that Led Zeppelin is a screaming band (even though they are not) because Robert Plant has a certain style. Generally, I like Progressive, Complex music. Music that isn't just 4/4 Time Predictable Crap. One of my MOST HATED bands of all time is Blink 182, because their music is so within the comfort zone of music. However bands like Rush and Dream Theater (the glorious DT) push the limits forward, exerting their fantastic musical skills with complex scores. Thats the sort of music that never gets old. And commercialized music is usually well within the comfort zone, more or less shit zoo music.
And for the record, Metallica's okay but I like Megadeth (their main competitor more.) Korn is a constipated shitpickle, and Iron Maiden is great for their harmonized guitars, not necesarily for the vocal stylings of Bruce Dickinson (although he is good.)

I literally spat at my screen in surprise when I read that, they are NOT heavy metal! jesus! they are pop, omg, how could you not know that? OK, Now I'm going to read everything else you wrote *reads rest* Classical? right... well what ever john, classical can be good (a.k.a. the star trek themes are classical, and some other stuff is good and classical) but still, who listens to classical, just coz its classical? *reads other post/s* OMG! You've heard of Dream Theatre? THEY ROCK! WOO! ok, still reading...*reads more...* Amen brother, Korn are shit, that statement sums it up pretty nicely, whats my point again? Oh yeah, screaming is lame, and shouldn't, under any circumstances be considered. 'real' rock. Oh and john, don't insult Elvis presley, he was the king of rock before your father was out of dia-pers, so end of story.

What? mullets? and 'screaming girls'? huh? 60s 70s rock is like some of the best rock ever, 80s was alright, 90s is practically (and I say practically because it wasn't totally) non-existent, 00s... well there's 'some' I guess.

60s 70s was pretty awesome. You just need to know where to look.
I stand, Progressive Rock is amazing, progressive music in general is good. Alot better then dance pop or techno or whatever these pot-stoned kids are on now.
Marillions cool.

Thanks for the double post there skip, not a first either.
After expanding my horizons a little bit (aka stealing just over 1000 of my brothers songs) and really most songs that aren't bad, like the style or whatever, you can almost listen to anything, it really depends how picky u are I guess.
