Name: Ra'el Age: N/A Gender: Male Race: Ethereal Hair: Crimson Skin: Light Height: 9.0 ft Weight: 0.5 lbs Eyes: N/A Faction: Krayden Protectorate Rank: God Bio: The Kraden Empire once ruled over 1000s of worlds and hundreds of species, but corruption and unrest lay waste to the grand civilization, tearing it down. Factions rose out of the once great Empire, but all were primitive. All hope was lost... Until an alien race called the Ethereals came down to the former-Capital world of the Kraden. They had the ability to be either corporeal or non-corporeal in form, and their technology was far suppasing any of the primitive tribesfolk's equipment. The Ethereals deemed themselves as gods over the Kraden on Galdor Prime, and benevolently ruled over the tribespeople, to slowly help unite the many peoples of the former Empire, and potentially rebuild the interstellar nation to it's former glory. Slowly leaking their great technology to the Kraden people, the Ethereals eventually re-taught them the wonders of Space Travel, and the means of interstellar transport.

Ra'el sat on his throne, instructing the Kraden workers on the final construction of his high palace, perched atop the acropolis of Meral City, the largest metropolis on Galdor Prime. It had been less then a century since the Ethereals had come, and already they had advanced the Kraden peoples from living in caves, to interstellar transport. Once the Ethereals began teaching the intelligent Kraden the ways, they began to remember the wonders of the old Empire.
Bellows of smoke poured into the violet skies, as the 20 million Kraden citizens of Meral City diligently worked to build the metropolis, and help fortify Galdor Prime, to become the staging point of further exploration and eventually colonization into space.
There were hundreds of intelligent species living on Galdor Prime, a testament to the works of the old Empire. Eventually came the inter-breeding, and Hybrids of the old species were formed. These new races became more unique than ever, and deemed themselves the true Kraden.
While the Ethereal Citadel was under construction, Ra'el remembered the first time the new Kraden sent a starship into space. The now 16 billion inhabitants of the Ethereal nation celebrated and many of the renegade tribes who had refused the Ethereal rule submitted to their benevolent wisdom. There were two other planets in the Galdor system that would be suitable for at least one of the species biological needs. He quietly planned the exploitation of those worlds, and the sinister doings that would follow.

The Gjaat Sensor Station, located in beautiful Meral City, picked up a strange sensor reading. They instantly channeled the Ethereal Palace. "Great ones," the Sensor Kraden cried. "The Day of Reckoning is at hand, sire. We have detected an unidentified spacecraft." "Prepare the Dreadnought," ordered Ra'el, suddenly excited. He was going to nurture this race to omnipotence, and this would be their first step to absolute power. The Dreadnought was the supership the Ethereals had come to Galdor Prime in. It was at least 2000 years old, but it far surpassed anything they had seen. It was the last piece of technology surviving from the Ethereal homeworld, before it (and the Ethereal culture) was annihalated by the Unknowns. These Ethereals that rested upon Galdor Prime were the last of their kind. They had reproduced out of the Ocean of their homeworld, but now it was gone. Their lifespans were virtually unlimited, but it seemed more a curse then anything. Perhaps... they could evolve this species to become comparable intellectually to their Ethereal intelligence.

Ra'el sat on the bridge of the Dreadnought, his vessel far surpassing anything they could have. Despite that, they could be good allies of the Kraden underlings. "Greetings, Republic," said Ra'el. "We are the Ethereals, overlords of the Kraden Protectorate. Do you wish to exchange knowledge with our children?"

Ra'el raised his arms. "Negative," he said, sensing they were trying to integrate his empire into their so called 'republic.' "We can manage on our own. Quite soon we will have a fleet powerful enough to control several star systems."

With the knowledge of a new race about, and a possibly hostile on at that, Ra'el initiated a new project in the Kraden Special Installations. A planetary Cloaking device. It was a long jump from these creature's primitive beginnings, but it was needed.

A good 200 Kraden rotations passed, and the Kraden Empire had expanded over several worlds in their solar systems. They had begun to terraform Ghanar, and exploit it's rich mineral deposits. All was going well for Ra'el's regime before the Cry of Independence appeared. The Cry of Independence was a separatist group that detested the Ethereals, and their rule. They believed it was unholy that a foreign race would rule over them, despite the benevolent wisdom the Ethereals gave the Kraden. Riots, and then widespread violence began to tear apart Miral city. Ra'el was dismayed that violence was recommencing. The Kraden had not fought a large war or violent altercation for 150 years. It was a shame they would have to learn pain from their masters. Ra'el ordered a nerve-stapling of every rioting citizen. Every previously discontent commoner was now property of the state. This action incited rebellion in some of the colonial worlds, but they were easily supressed. The once-liberator Ethereals had become oppressors.

The swarm... that name strikes fear into billions of hearts, for they are the evil race that follow in the foot steps of the darkest race to ever live... the shadows...
The swarm hive fleet, of one moon sized swarm hive, 300 escort hives, and 20 juggernoughts, along with untold small support craft they advance toward the Republic and the Ethereal empire...
