Meanwhile back on the ship, Kynes had suggested an open comlink with the away team, he sensed something was amiss on the planet's surface. "What's it like down there?" he asked the away team, anticipating a quick response.

Vorak opened his communicator. Deserted as the scans suggested Captain, tools are still lying around. They certainly left suddenly. Terrain is rocky. We have found a complex that appears to be the main hub of the colony. We are attempting to open the door and proceed inside He replied and looked over to Clark.

Vorak nodded "Well Done Lt." Understood Flight Lt , stand bye. This may still get hazardous They proceeded inside, the large metallic corridor was dark. And in the grooves at the side, dormant coiled robots. They looked almost spider like. "Fascinating" Vorak spoke "mining artificial lifeforms."

OOC: We should have some Character-Relationship building in this mission, give the mission some more meat to it.
NPC: Crewman T'Kel
The vulcan Crewman T'Kel weaved his way through the old, dusty remnants of the complex. Visually assesing the structure, he deemed it to be very old, by at least a hundred years. The walls were lined with row upon row of dormant mining drones. Despite his emotionally-dampened inclination, an eerie feeling churned around, hidden in the deep abyss of his subconcious.
Slowly treading through the wide corridor, he found the entrance to the Records Room. Hopefully the instruments would still be active, it would make acquiring the reason for the downfall of the complex much easier. It was customary for a Vulcan to seek the truth, if not feel curious. Aimlessly pondering the hopes of a promotion, to further his quest for truth, he tried to budge the door, but it wouldn't move. "I found the Records Room, but I cannot move the door!" he called to the other Away Team members. Quickly, Commander Vorak and Lieutenant Clark came to his aid. "On the count of three," said Vorak, beckoning to push the slightly-open door. "1.." "2.." T'Kel took a deep breath, preparing for the exertion. "3!" The three men began to push the door open. At first to no sucess, but the door began to slowly (but steadily) move open...
When the door finally thrust open, a gust of dust blew out into the corridor, hitting T'Kel full front, and blanketing his uniform within a reddish-beige complexion. Coughing, he adjusted his filtration mask, and started feeling sick... "Commander... I need the Doctor," he told Vorak, coughing. "I feel quite... ill."
Something with his body wasn't right. He knew there was something wrong. His head was spinning, he felt dizzy, and he was unable to think properly. Suddenly, the eerie feeling he had repressed when he saw the mining drones screamed into the forefront of his mind. He was unable to control himself, and started screaming... "Help me... Help me!"

Vorak at first took Clark and the engineering team in the left most direction. He spun and pressed on his torch, shinning it down the corridor as others did the same. More drones. This seemed to be some sort of security system. "This complex appears to be much older than we first..." he stopped in mid sentence. He had reached out to touch the surface of the near wall and at once got a flashing vision and then something he was not used to and should not be able to feel. Fear. He suppressed it at once, the room was surrounded in it as if some sort of telepathic trace had been left here. The trace of fear. It was then he heard the call from his young science officer, T'Kel who he had taken under his wing. He motioned to Clark and they ran to the far door around a very narrow corner. At first to no success, but the door began to slowly (but steadily) move open... Vorak felt it again the fear, He had to use all his Vulcan mind control to suppress it, his age and wisdom saw to his success. However the young Vulcan did not share these traits and began to cry out. "Commander... I need the Doctor," he told Vorak, coughing. "I feel quite... ill. Help me... Help me!" "Doctor!" Vorak called and watched Beathan run over "Some sort of telepathic trace here is effect our small but active telepathic brain cells. My age and experience alone was my only aid. Can you do anything?" He turned to the others. "Search the room and try and find what you can, perhaps the cause of this." It was then he noticed them, humanoid remains. Almost fossils by age.

Louis who had been the only other medical officer on the team walked forward toward the remains, knowing that his commanding officer would be far better suited in tending to the young Vulcan. he lifted his heavy tricorder on its strap and scanned the corpses. "Dead for several thousand years" he spoke in his thick Valen accent "We would have to get one back to sickbay, to discover the cause of death."

Jade was the second to really enter the room. "My god" she spoke and attemped to step over them "more happened here than first meets the eye. Permission to scout the base for more remains sir, so we can find out what the hell happened here."

He nodded and stood, taking his hands from the head of T'Kel and easing them into Beathan's. He stepped forward and nodded to Jade. "Granted, send reports every 10 minuets and take Rogers and your teams with you."

"Aye" she replied and motioned to her men, allowing Rogers to take postion beside her with her own men and proceeded forward. Fear was somthing they were all feeling, only their torches provided light and the dark and dreery place was like a ghost house, screaming the lost secrets of what happened hear. Voices and names calling for them to leave in the deadlest silence. He raised her phaser rifle and moved forward, nodding to Rogers. They reached a corner and Jade sharply spun, the light on her rifle lighting the corridor before proceeding forward and gesuring to the others. "So" she asked Lisa "what are you thinking happened?"

Vorak turned to Clark and his men. "Engineering teams, find some sort of power room if you can. Phasers on stun and be careful. As with the others send check a check in every ten minuets. Try and get this power back online so we can access the records." Vorak then returned his attention to T'Kel. "Doctor?"

NPC: T'Kel
Swirling in disarray, T'Kel's mind raced in horror. Within his mind's eye, he witnessed a plague of fire, and destruction! Flames danced along the sundafed sand, as miners screamed in agony, their bodies ablaze in luminescence. "No!" he cried out loud, suprising Louis and McAinmire. "You've got to help them!!!" He convulsed, and twisted on the floor. "They're dying! Why aren't you helping them?!?"

Vorak bent down and frowned. "T'Kel this is Vorak. Can you hear me?" he asked hoping that the young crewman would respond. No, it was no help. He continued to scream. "Monitor us, I am going to attempt to retrieve his mind in a mind meld." Vorak placed his hands on the other Vulcan's face. "My mind to you mind, my thoughts to your thought" he pressed harder feeling the other mind, its fear, its loss of control "our minds are merging, our minds are one." He leaned in seeing the images. The two spoke in union. "Attacked, killed. They are shot at" they both contorted their faces in horror "why are they dying, we must help them!"
