Dinner with the Captain

[zepplin]

Captain Kynes has invited Zepplin and Vorak to a VIP dinner in the Recreation lounge that has been vacated for this occassion.

Zepplin walked in and sat down to the Captains right at circular table, having three chairs, one being occupied by the Captain, the other two were for Vorak and Zepplin. Vorak was on his way.

"Hello sir, what have we got planned on the menu tonight?"

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"How does Spaghetti and Meatballs sound?" asked Kynes. Looking at the expression of disdain on Vorak's face, Alexander smiles.
"Don't worry, there's been a vegetarian modification made to your meal..."

At last, the food was served to them.
"Thank you, crewman," said Kynes.
"Let's eat!"

[zepplin]

"Yeah! Hey Vorak, I never knew you were a vegetarian? Obviously your not Captain."
Zepplin pointed out

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

OOC: Hey Karl, I hope it's okay if I RP as your character until you get back.

IC: "Vulcans are vegetarians, Lieutenant," says Vorak.
"We do not find the consumption of other life... appealing."

[zepplin]

"Oh really? well your the one missing out sir, in my opinion." Zepplin took another mouthful of spagetti then looked up after finishing it.
"Captain, I've always wondered, what year did you join starfleet?"

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"I've been in Starfleet for 12 years."

[zepplin]

"Oh ok, wow so you graduated in 2277? Interesting, I joined as an officer out of the academy in 2286. So how old are you now sir?" Zepplin asked taking another mouthful.

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"I'm 34 years old... It's humourous in a way, how time can pass you by out here," said Kynes, taking a bite of his Spaghetti. It was very good, and it was cooked to perfection.

[zepplin]

"Wow, you must've had a fairly good, well actually excellent career to be in command of a starship at the age of... actually sit, how old were you when you first graduated? Did you get any good postings?" Zepplin asked, now very interested in the Captains personal career.

[Commander Vorak]

Vorak ate, not caring for Italian but eating why watching the conversation.

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"First off, I was commisioned to the Yorktown as Operations. Soon after I was transferred to the USS Newport, where I rose through the ranks. After that, I spent some time back in a starbase and now here I am," said Kynes with a smile.
"What about you?"

[zepplin]

"Well, my career so far is shorter and slightly less impressive, I was first stationed on the Starbase orbiting earth, just because it was close and the ships around that area hadn't a need for an officer at the time, a year passed and I was granted a promotion for my patience and good work there on the starbase and another year passed and I was granted a transfer onto your ship sir as the role of Chief Operations. Ofcourse you know everything after that, such as my last promotion." Zepplin paused for a moment

"So, this is your third starship you've served aboard? Thats interesting, this is actually my first, heh. Commander, what about yourself? Did you serve on many starships before this one?" Zepplin asked the Commander

[Commander Vorak]

He looks up from "playing" with his meal to speak "I served in starfleet for almost 50 years of my life" he replies "The Freedom, The Hood and of course the Phoenix were my posts before this one. It is by choice I have not been promoted further than executive officer."

[zepplin]

"And Science Officer, you do not wish a Command of your own I see, most Vulcans choose that I have found, you guys seem to prefer scientific roles than that of command. Would you ever consider taking Command, of your own vessel sir?" Zepplin enquired.

[Commander Vorak]

"When I am ready, I am quiet comftable aiding the Captain and remaining at the science station until that time" he replies.
