Episode III: The Valens

[Rudger McVanlen]

I quickly lay in a course to save the Amazing and set to max warp "Sir, ETA is 5 minites" i say...

[Commander Vorak]

"Captain I am picking up no vessels in the area, some debri to small to be the...Its a trail Captain it leads to the near bye Planet perhaps a colony of these Valens."

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"Vanlen, set a course following the particle trail. Keep us at Yellow Alert. One of our own vessels is involved now. We will proceed, and we won't leave Valen space until we've located the USS Amazing."

Kynes took in a breath of recycled air. They were treading on thin ice. With one ill-made move, the Federation could have a new war on their hands.

The USS Endeavour sped along it's course, headlong into mystery...

[Rudger McVanlen]

"Aye aye Sir" i say, we arrive above the coloney a few minites later "Sir, we are here" i say.

[Daniel Clark]

'Preparing, Sensors' Said Daniel

[Commander Vorak]

"I am picking up only faint life sign readings, most of the technology seems to be powerless. The city is heavily damaged, and far to few life signs are down there to for a city of its size. Something has appeared to have happened here. I am picking up what appears to be a federation signature very faint on the far side of the city. I am regretful to inform you that not much is left and there are no life signs. Survivors may be among the city and we should recover our technology for military and prime directive reasons."

[Lt Matina Jade]

"Well if we are sending an away team I'm taking my best men armed just incase" she chimed in.

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

Kynes nodded grimly.
"Vorak, Lt. Jade... Both take your two best men, and meet me in the transporter room. We need to retreive the USS Amazing before the Valen find it and exploit it's technology."

Captain Kynes began walking away, but before entering the turbolift, he turned to Vanlen.
"You have the bridge, number one."

After acknowledging his instructions, Alexander headed down to the Transporter room. As he walked, he formulated a plan in his head to make the mission sucessful. His mind weighed different possibilties, and contemplated the many potential outcomes of the away mission. This process was an essential part of commanding a starship, and very often an important aspect of general leadership situations, as he had learned while in the academy.

When he reached the Transporter room, he gave a brief greeting to the Transporter Chief, and took a slender PADD out of his pocket. It's contents specified the personnel Jade and Vorak had requested for the away mission. All four of them had commendable pasts as members of Starfleet, and Kynes felt much more relaxed, knowing he would be working with a group that knew their stuff.

Thinking of the possible technical difficulties they would have with the USS Amazing, Kynes opened his communicator and channeled it to Engineering.
"Lieutenant Clark, can you come to the Transporter room? You're needed on an away mission. Kynes out."

As his heart rate lessened, Kynes estimated the mininum distance they would be able to transport down from the USS Amazing would be 1.5 kilometres, as Communications had detected an extensive amount of messages being tossed back and forth in the vicinity of the Oberth Class vessel.

From the looks of the damaged Amazing, Kynes posessed a cynical outlook on whether they would find any survivors from the Amazing, but it would take a while for the Endeavour's scanners to access the existence of Federation-species life signs on the city, due to the extensive sensory distruption caused by the city's decimated nature.

It was a good ten minutes before Jade, Clark and Vorak arrived in the Transporter Room. Picking up a Phaser one of the Security crewmen had brought for him, Kynes and the 7 other crewmembers stepped onto the transporter. With a few quick console commands by the Transporter chief, the eight people shimmered into invisibility.

[Commander Vorak]

As the city became visible around them some more questions where raised. It appeared to have been torn rather than blown apart and Vorak verified this. "I am picking up no weapon signatures, if there was a battle it was not with any energy weapons. Indefinite life signs from various points, this way" he said pointing.
Soon the crew were walking among the wrecked city and smoke appeared over the horizon.

[Lt Matina Jade]

Jade and her men were alert the entire time weapons ready scanning the area.
"Captain!" she called out pointing to a very pale (even for them) Valen heading toward them, his cloathing tatered. He eyes blood shot and his face showing black veins clearly.

Siting on the bridge i was watching our sensor like a hawk, i never did like the idea of the captain going groundside. I kept passing the bridge, half expecting to hear that the comand crew were dead and the ship was under attack from a fleet of enamy ships. There were to many questions, how many ships do the valen have? are they all well armed? are they all slow? are the valen a huge empire? I was freting, but i got myself under control and started scaning for ships...

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

Kynes looked about the crippled city. A large shield shaded most of the city from the sunlight of the day, and it was very dark. Kynes adjusted his eyes to see the Valen.
"What happened here?" asked Alexander to the dying Valen.

"Red... Redis..." the Valen gasped as his condition became critical.

"Captain Kynes to Endeavour! Beam the Valen life form in our vicinity directly to sickbay for emergency medical attention!"

Re-channeling his communicator to Lt. McAinmire's frequency, Kynes spoke again.

"Mr. McAinmire, when the patient wakes up, let Ms. Dale talk to him, to see what he can say about this disaster. Kynes out."

Flipping in his communicator, he climbed over a barricade of rubble and continued on, closing in on the Amazing's energy signature.

[Daniel Clark]

Daniel followed Captain kynes
he began to walk around and he suddenly saw a Federation Phaser
'Captain' He shouted

[Daisy Dale]

Daisy heard the Captains order and pulled up all the info on the Valen
She looked back at her console and her eyes widended
'Klingon Vessel, declocking of the port bow K'TINGA Class ' She exclaimed
'This is Captain sh'Ph Of The IKS Might to USS Endeavour, we are hear as asssistant from the Klingon Empire' Said a voice over the Comm link

I haveing been given temp comand of the ship replyed "This is Ensign Rudger Mcvanlen temporay comander of the USS Endeavor, the captain is ground side and currently unavailable. I can however help you, or use your help" i finish i turn to a sensor screan... and swear.. fluently, in every laungauge i know.. with is 10... I page the captain "Sir... 4 Valen ships heading right at us, shall i stay in transporter range, or start evaseives and engage? And sir, theres a klingon ship with us, togather we can take them" i say. Nervis but not showing it abit...
