Episode III: The Valens

[Commander Vorak]

Commander Vorak walked across the gleaming new halls of their new vessel. A relatively new ship to say they changed the name so quickly. But as they were told most of the senior crew were ready for either transfer or promotion, for the most part the junior crew had remained on board the ship of which they had served on under a different name.
He chimed the Captains quarters before entering as request handing Kynes a PADD.
"All pre-launch check are complete, the rest of the crew are arriving via shuttle crafts over the next hour" he reported.

[Daniel Clark]

Daniel almost ran to get to the new engineering, he ran round a corner and was there
'Woa' He muttered
He walked over the the chief Engineers office and sat down
After a while he stood up and did a Class two diognostic

[Rudger McVanlen]

I stood at my new nav console, seeing as how the helm officer had yet to man his station, i added helm control to my station. Turning to the captain "Sir, shall i engage to warp for the unkown sector, course is ploted warp engines are ready" i say...

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

"Ensign Vanlen, engage warp!" said Kynes. His new chair was much more comfortable then the rectangular chairs of the constitution Endeavour.
"Lieutenant Clark," said Kynes.
"Keep an eye on that warp core. This ship is new, so anything can happen. Stay sharp... Kynes out."
Deactivating his communicator, Kynes watched as the viewscreen pictured a portrayal of accelerating stars. With a few quick manuevers by Vanlen, the Exelsior was on it's way to the unknown sector.
"I'll be in sickbay if anybody needs me," said Alexander, walking out of the bridge and into the turbolift.

When he got to sickbay, he found Lieutenant McAinmire in his office, studying the Starbase report on the Alien body.
"Hey Beathan," said the Captain.
"What are the findings on the alien body?"

[Lt Matina Jade]

Jade had manned her station hours ago and was now preparing the ship in everyway for what might lay ahead. After last time she could never be to ready.
"Jade to Zantorian report your status there."

[Beathan MacAinmire]

"Well sir, I've descoverd that thes spesise could almost be what was cald in the 19th to erly 21st century as a Vampier, sir. They wear knone fore ther pale skin pigmentation, they are photosensitive, and hers ther par'e that scaeres me, they need to feast on blood. But thats all I've go'. I wish i could tell ya more but I only have a we bit of tishue ta work with." The doctor said to his captian

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

Kynes remembered the post-mortem mutilation of the creature by K'aath in his rage. From what he had heard, the Klingon Ambassador's anger had subsided just in time for the conference, which proceeded very well.

The new sickbay was much nicer then the old Constitution counterpart. It was loaded with state-of-the-art equipment and the most efficient means of healing on any known vessel in the Alpha Quadrant.
"Good Work, Lieutenant McAinmire. With any luck, we'll have more information on this species in no time!"
Suddenly Kynes' communicator bleeped.
"Captain, you're needed on the bridge," came the voice of the Operations officer.
"What for?" questioned Kynes.
"We've been intercepted by an unknown spacecraft. We're being hailed," the Officer replied, through the chatter of the comlink.
"I'm on my way," said Kynes, and before a matter of a second passed, he had given his farewells to McAinmire, and was off to the bridge.

When he arrived, a mysterious but aesthetic starship hovered in space in front of them.
"We're receiving a message, sir." the Communications officer said, tuning the channel to the bridge.
"You have entered colonial space of the Valen Republic. Please turn back now, or your vessel and it's crew will perish," came a thin voice.

Kynes looked at the scan reports of the alien ship. They had basic warp capabilities, but impressive weapons. Kynes estimated however, that the Endeavour could defeat the single ship without too much damage.
"This is Captain Alexander Kynes, or the United Federation of Planets. We do not mean your people harm. We are explorers, and our only intentions are of goodwill and friendship of your people."

"Please turn back, or your vessel and it's crew will perish," the voice repeated.

'This is going to be a long day,' Alexander thought to himself, as the Valen vessel powered weapons.

[Rudger McVanlen]

I say "Sir, im ready to start moveing this ship, i have a rather interesting attack vector i would like to try, if i may have the weapons fire at my order i think i can disable their ships weapons and engines in one attack with this vector"...

[Daniel Clark]

Daniel had heard the captains order and got to work
He then heard the red Alert
'Oh not again' He said sighing
'Prepare the forcefeild around the warp Core, hand out the phasers' he said to his crew
'Engineering ready' he said into the comm a few minutes later

[Commander Vorak]

Vorak scanned deeper into the vessel.
"Captain, Mr Mcvalens plan would be recomended as a backup but I have found a target where I believe it will disable this ship without causing casualties."

[Daniel Clark]

'Captain,' Said Daniel 'I'm picking up a distress call from further into Valen Space, Ill put it on speakers:'

This is The USS Amazing, to any ships in the area, we've been heavely damaged by two unidedntified ships reapeat we nee......

'Sorry Sir, I've lost them!'

[Daisy Dale]

Lt (JG) Diasy walked onto the bridge in time to hear the Chief Engineer's Report
'Lt Daisy Dale, Reporting in sir' She Said
She walked over to her station and checked her database
'Confirmed sir, The USS Amazing NCC 1729 Obereth Class was patrolling and area around here a two weeks ago and is reported as MIA, sir'

[Commander Vorak]

"They appear to be located near a planetoid" he said tapping a few buttons "Possibily a colony."
"Ms Jade I am sending you the target point, I surjest we disable this vessel and go and save the Amazing."

[Rudger McVanlen]

The unkown ship opens fire but i start dodgeing, I spin the ship on all of its axises in a blindling feat of piloting, i spin her around the enamies ship with a grin and place us in a perfect position to cripple her or disable her. "Jade i cant keep us behind them for long i sugest you fire" i say...

[Lt Matina Jade]

Jade fees the targeting computer and locks her target in ist aft section firing with phaser and watching the ship go dead in the water.
"The ship is crippled sir."
