Episode VIII: Far Cry

[zepplin]

Conor looked at Kosh
"Alright, let me guess, you could heal me in no time and i could already be back at my primitive station?" Zepplin puts on a sarcastic face.

[Kosh Naranek]

"That would be interfering to far in your races tech, though i could, my medical nanites are highly advanced. However i will not, you are not going to die, and as such i am not cleared to use my nanites. I can however aid you by takeing your mind off your work, i read Tors report on humans, it appears to work wonders on your natural healing prosess." He replys...

[zepplin]

"I don't buy that for a second, my own will can get me threw what I need to get threw, talking doesn't solve anything."
Kosh started hovering away and Zepplin felt sorry for him
"*Sigh* Look, I didn't say... float away, teach me something that's worth my time Kosh."
Zepplin says staring at the lighting.

[Lt Matina Jade]

Jade blasts the last of them and sits back in her chair with relief. However seeing the larger ships still firing makes her get her bearings and heads to the bridge.

[Kosh Naranek]

"Very well, what would you like to learn?"

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

8 dead. 24 wounded. Those were the reapings of the battle for the Endeavour. Countless other Drenign were dead. By through chaotic adversity, the crew of the Endeavour had managed to defeat the Drengin marines. The invaders had been incapacitated, and the remaining enemies were fleeing in the direction of the Tau vessel.
"Comunications," said Kynes.
"Try hailing the Tau vessel again..."
"No need sir," came the reply.
"They're hailing us..."
"Open a channel."

"Well done, Federation vessel," said the Tau.
"Pardon me?" said Kynes.
"32 of our men and women are dead because of those Drengin, and that's all you have to say?"
"The Drengin are a weak-minded race, human. They can be harnessed for purposes of war..."
"Cut to the chase, Tau..." said Kynes, trying to sound as diplomatic as possible.
"This was the final phase of our experiment. Testing humans under pressure was our final test to witness the abilities of the creatures of the Federation. We sadly regret the losses of your crewmen. However, the Directorate has recently put an emphasis on Drengin/Federation conflict research..."
"That still does not explain the dead crewmen..."
"Such are the casualties of war, Captain..."
"I have no time for this. Kynes out. Comm, close channel."
The screen went blank. Kynes turned to Kosh.
"Kosh, go to my ready room. Now..."

[Kosh Naranek]

OOC: Hey...the Tau wouldn't do that.... they hate killing... they would never pit two groups against each other=/

IC: "Of course captain" Hovering after him Kosh settles in opposite kynes at the table "I was unaware of this test, it must have been that Death worm Korek. He has no right to be a high command, he and the others responsible will be striped of rank and thrown suit-less into the dread caverns of Kelrek VIII like the Iconian scum they act like. I assure full justice will be given, and anything we can do to aid the families of the dead will be. On behalf of the grand Senate I give my deepest Apologies for your losses" Kosh bows his head deeply as he compleates his short speach.

[zepplin]

Zepplin was in sickbay still trying to master the new whisling technique Kosh taught him, before a pretty nurse came towards him.
"You can go back to work now Lieutenant."
"Why thank you, now your here im almost sad to leave." The nurse blushes and Zepplin just wlks out of Sickbay headed for the bridge, once he arrives he seats himself at his console, taking note of the Captains absense.

"Commander, I am picking up a strange power reading... They appear to be ships of some sort... attempting to enhance and magnify on main viewer."
Zepplin pressed a few buttons then looked up from his station at the view screen to witness three alien heavy cruisers going past at high impulse speeds.

[Commander Vorak]

He scans them and turns back to the Lt "I would appear to be the Tau vessels returning. Strange, I would seem they thought that keepping away was the best course to "test" us. Begin helping with repairs Mr Zepplin."

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

After a second of thinking and accessing the situation, Kynes nodded. Although he still didn't quite trust this Kosh Naranek, he believed him for this. From what he'd heard of the Tau before, the appeared to share many of the same qualities the Federation did. At least that was what it appeared like...
"Mr. Naranek," started Kynes.
"What can you tell me about the aliens that attacked us? We have confronted each other before while in Nei'er Relm and while in the Hibrina task force, but for both battles, we haven't been able to reach a plausible motive for their attacks."

[Kosh Naranek]

"Oh, they have no reason for war. They simply enjoy the challenge, though they can be convinced to set up a meeting for the conditions of war, to decide what weapons the war can be fought with." Kosh says. "Also they will gladly stop useing guns and ship weapons if you want to fight them in hand to hand. They are strange and hard to understand, even knowing what we know wouldin't help you" Suddenly pauseing Kosh screeches. "No how could he... The.... Korek has done something very bad... theres a mini civil war going on... Tau... tau have...have... have KILLED OTHER TAU!!!!!!!" He seems to go mad at the very thought, slaming from one wall into another and screeming incoherintly...

Meanwhile two of the cruisers fire on the other two right infront of the Endeavour... All chaos brakes out as a stray beam slams into the endeavour and reduces its shields to 70%. The 4 ships lash out in a blinding fury of ion torpedos and beams...


OOC: you wanted a civil war zeplin...you got a civil war... well a small civil war that ends at the end of this episode with the Tau still strong but missing a few ships and a few twists thrown in...

[Commander Vorak]

Vorak raised his eyebrows.
-COM-Captain I think you should come to the bridge-COM-

[zepplin]

"Aye sir, I'll be down in..." BOOM suddenly the ship lost 30% of its shields
"What was that? I'll be in Engineering Sir." Zepplin leaves the bridge.
In Engineering he starts with Clark.
"How bad are the repairs? can we go into battle?" Clark just shrugs his shoulders and Zepplin walks over to a near by console before hailing the bridge.
"-COMM-Sir, another two of those beams and we wont have shields at all, I strongly suggest we either fight back, or high-tail it out of here. We don't stand a chance against these Tau-COMM-" Zepplin points out honestly.

[Kosh Naranek]

The Large Tau ship suddenly flys over the Endeavour, extending its own shields to protect her. Then useing a tractor beam it take the endeavour to the other side of the world and remains in its protective stance, as a mother to a child...

On the viewer another Tau appears "The Tau following Korek aboard this ship have been arrested and are awaiting trail, they will all be charged for the murders of your crewmen, please transfer their data to us and elect someone to send on behalf of the federation to give your wishes as to sentance. We asure you that all his followers will be tryed for the murder of your crew, and giveing the Drengin the full of our database on your race thus allowing for their invasion." He says...


Meanwhile Kosh has finaly stoped screaming and is back to himself. "I'm sorry for my brake down...its just...this is the first time Tau have EVER killed other Tau... atleast no females were killed, i dont think i would have ever recovered if one had been" He says...

OOC: Yo... whats with the female things Rugd?

IC: "-COMM- Zep to bridge, I have phasers and torpedoes back online, the shield strength might take a little longer, are we still at alert?"
