Kynes nodded at Ensign Sh'aal and hung his head. "Kynes to Engineering. Commence repairs at once, before another blasted anomaly hits us..." Kynes turned to McVanlen. "There was no predicting that outcome. You did what any competent helmsman would do."

Jarn stood up, and looked around. Doctor McAinmire was frozen still, and much of the sickbay was fluctuating in a sea of temporal anomalies.
The sickness was gone, but his limited Altanian telepathy could sense that the virus that had infected him had plans... Sentient plans.
The virus that had entered his body was bordering on sentience. It did not know what it was, but it was thinking; making plans, and working to better itself. It was a Virus contracted through many means. Telepathically... Physically, Temporally...
This Virus was going somewhere. It lived outside the laws of conventional physics, and it was targeting mankind.

As Vorak came to with the rest of sickbay he shook his head "You were.." he began but his attention was taken by a nurse whos skin was going a very dark shade of blue, as were his veins. He fell to the floor and began shaking wildly. Vorak took out his scanner. "He has contracted some some of Virus" he reported. Vorak was then futher shocked as he and another crewman simply disaperred into thin air. "Red Alert, Captain I am coming to the bridge."

"Make Warp Engines your priority, Lieutenant," said Kynes. "We don't want to be dead in the water any longer then we have to."

"I am not sure. Captain two crewmen have just dissaperred into thin air. One appeared to contracted a virus before he did so. Perhaps the same as our new Atlanian colege" he reported sitting in the science station. "There!" he said after a few moments "Captain I believe somehow a sample of the virus has gone back in human time and begun affecting Earths population."

"How do you know that?" Kynes asked. Before he continued, he saw the screen on the Science Console. While studying the anomalies, they had sensed a microscopic biological organism wade into one of the temporal anomalies.
Kynes' heart sank.
"We have no choice... If there is any chance that organism was able to go back in time to a period in the past, we will have to follow. With the Engines finally repaired... Lieutenant McVanlen, please navigate us into that anomaly. For all we know, it may have perished on the way..."

As McVanlen flew into the abyss of the anomaly, Kynes began to feel strange. It felt like his insides were suddenly getting older and younger at the same time. Within a few seconds, the sickness wore off, and he felt better again. Whereever they were, whenever they were, they weren't in the Altan System, in good ol' 2293. There were very few warp recidual particles in the space around them, and there was no sign of civilization anywhere. Yes, they were in the year 2007.

OOC: Doctor, your stardate says it is this time and date
Thu, 31 Jan 2352 16:39:00 UTC
And Captain, yours says
Thu, 31 Jan 2352 16:44:30 UTC
A more accurate stardate would be
9584.47 and 9584.52 respectivley of the time slots
which is
Thu, 2 Mar 2293 the time of your post, just thought I might help you out, your choice whether or not you change it.
And doc, its your mission, if you don't like this next post, I'll simply remove it, or someone else can remove it...
IC: Zepplin turned from his station
"Captain, the minute distortions are much more prevelent in this time period, I believe this is the source of all the so reported 'missing persons', of course, we wouldn't know they disappeared, however, the ships compliment is extremley lower then it should be, yet, no more crewmen will disappear, untill we go back to our time, we have approximatley 3 earth days left in this time period before the distortion no longer exists."

OOC: I just made up a random stardate.
RP: "Understood, Mr. Zepplin, scan for the virus' location. McVanlen, take us closer to Earth, but maintain quarter impulse. Anything more and the people planetside will detect us."

"Aye aye sir" Rudger says, he begins to take the ship closer...
Meanwhile planit side
It was night in Washington, and John was out with his telascope looking out at the stars. His telascope was powerful, and as he scaned the stars he saw a glint in orbit. At first he thought it was just a satilite, but upon closer inspection he noted that it was far larger, though he couldint see its exact shape he noted it had a disc, but then the light that shined on it faded and he couldint see it. But he had, and now he was very interested in what it was...
OOC: i will edit that out if you wish, but i thought it a good way to bring myself in=)

OOC: nah, I think thats cool, I was going to have some nukes sent at us, but that is much more reasonable, besides, were might not be deteced with our deflector screens up.
IC: "Aye sir, I believe we should still maintain a large orbit, in order to minimize our possibility of being detected or even spotted." Zepplin looked at the Captain with confusion
"Sir, are we going to take an away team down to the surface? If so, it would be a great chance for historical purposes."
