Jarn was awake, but not really. He could sense Doctor McAinmire's presence beside him, but he could not react. Although there were blemishes that had tainted his skin painfully, he didn't feel it. With what little consciousness he could muster, he tried to discern what was happening to him. There was no medical condition in the Altanian database that matched these symptoms. Jarn was truly at a loss for an answer.

Captain's Log, Stardate 29835.79
After our altercation orbiting Altan III, we have continued our course into unknown space. We have picked up several wormhole anomalies in the space ahead, but it doesn't appear that it will be a substantial issue. Our helm and navigations department has scheduled an itenerary around them...
Captain Kynes was on the bridge sitting on the chair. Images of an infirm Jarn fresh in his mind, he opened his communicator. "Kynes to Doctor McAinmire, have you learned anything new about Commandant Jarn's condition?"

10 Minutes After... Kynes heard Dr. McAinmire's proposal; a scheme to aid Jarn with his mysterious ailment. "Doctor," said Kynes. "I approve use of the mind meld, but only if Vorak is confident in his abilities. We don't want a second catatonic onboard the ship."

"Affirmative, Doctor McAinmire. Captain Kynes out," said the captain, deactivating his communicator and settling into his chair. "Lieutenant McVanlen, another anomaly has been detected on port bow. Steer 35 degrees to the right."

"Sir!" cried Lyana. "Sensors detect that the anomaly is growing exponentially by the second! Recommend evasive manuevers!"

As McVanlen tried to divert from the anomaly he inadvertently flew into a smaller temporal anomaly, that passed trough Sickbay directly on Jarn's biobed, and also hitting Beathan, as it continued its path through the ship, causing harmless power surges, and knocking over cups and such. Back In sickbay beathan stud frozen for several minutes, unnoticed by anyone. One unfrozen he heard a call. It was Jarn. He was siting up.

"Sir, Shields down, and several non-essential systems have experienced power surges. I estimate that we'll be immobile for at least 3 hours while repairs are being made."
