Episode VII: Past Casualties

OOC: I suggest people who play human characters who've been wiped play Alien NPC characters, to keep things interesting! It would be bad to have just two people (Me and Vorak) playing the game. By the way, sorry for using OOC. I just it was an idea that deserved the mission board, that's all.

Yeoman's Log, Stardate 2293.08.03
Half of the crew is gone. Due to the fact that the only stable crewmembers are non-human, we will have to send down aliens to a pre-warp era Earth. At this moment, McAinmire is making Jarn a 'mask' of sorts to hide his Altanian heritage. He, Vorak, and several other personnel will be transported down to the surface, in the Great Lakes/St. Lawrence lowlands region of the North American continent. Kynes has since retired to his quarters, anticipating his deletion. I have assumed temporary command of the Endeavour itself, while Vorak and Jarn will be leading the landing team.

Lyana had been given command of the Endeavour while Vorak was away. Her minor had been Command, so she was ideal for the job. Now, in the Transporter Room, she bid Vorak and the away team farewell.
"Good luck... All of you," she said solemnly, a break from her usually cheery disposition. Saluting them, she watched as they stepped onto the Transporter pad...

OOC: Have to point out Yeoman, I know no OOCs, but its nessecary, that that is the incorrect stardate, I have gone to the liberty of using the time and date of the post along with the year of the site (2293) to give you an accurate stardate, which is '9587.81'. Just to clarify, the date you used, when put into the calcualtor says (dis-regarding those last .03) Sun, 28 Apr 2267 17:24:00 UTC.

IC: Zepplin, being one of the few human characters left, beside the captain, was very much hoping to solve this problem, before he himself was affected by it.

"Calculations set sir, standing by to engage the temporal jump." Zepplin awaited his commander's orders.

[Commander Vorak]

"Doctor, how is it you know who Mcvalen is?" he asked raising an eyebrow.

[zepplin]

"I agree, you both seem to know this mysterious character, that no one else has ever heard of, but under the circumstances, I geuss your not wrong, just everyone else is... however, don't understand why you Doctor, 'would' know them, as you are human, you should also be affected, I think an investigation is required after we make this jump." Zepplin paused momentarilly, moving back toward the side of his station that controled the temporal jumping maneuvour.

"Ready when you are Captain."

[Beathan MacAinmire]

OOC:That was a good post but Zepplin wouldent realy realise that only humans are vanashing cause you dont remeber them.

"Ya mean ya know 'ho he is too? I cana figur ou' why but I see' ta be tha only human tha' remebers the res' of tha crew. Da ya sepose it be du ta tha time warp passin' sickbay?"

"Indeed Doctor, I believe that you are hypothesizing that you were somehow caught in a temporal wake, before these occurances, this would, in affect, leave you not affected by what is happening to the rest of the crew."

The Captain gave a nod of approval to Zepplin and he was about to engage the Temporal Jump.

"Engaging, Temporal Jump, now." Push, Bleep.

The ship entered another extremley localised distortion of space and time, and were thrown back into the position and time of the planet, one year earlier, just before they saw the virus on their sensors, exiting a similar phenomemon.

[Commander Vorak]

Vorak felt dizy for a moment before speaking "Captain Permission to lead a landing party."

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

A weary Captain sat on his chair. He gave a quick nod to Vorak and the team. Kynes wondered when it would be his time to be erased...

Vorak stepped onto the transporter with the Doctor and Zepplin and transported to the surface.

[Beathan MacAinmire]

"Na remeber, Vorak, ya be a Polish Studen'. Zepplin, Ya're fro' Bos'on. We be bes' mates and we be trying ta help with tha crises. Laddys, don' forge' tha' this be Toranta. Le' my do all tha speekin'." Beathan said puting a brown wool scarf the replicator gave him. He rather enjoid the cloathing of the 20th century.

[Commander Vorak]

"And I surpose a scotsman is common in Canada" he said looking around.

[zepplin]

Zepplin laughed at the testiment

"You bet your pointed ears he is. I'm sure he is more common than a Vulcan in this time period. Perhaps I should ask the questions, as my accident is the least... potentant; ar excuse me ma'am."

Zepplin walked toward a woman walking down the foot path.

"Do you know where the nearest Medical facualty is around here?"
"You mean Hospital? Sure, there's one just up the main road, can't miss it."

[Commander Vorak]

"Then we will proceed, thankyou madam. We must hurry" he said walking toward the white and grey plated building "we don't know how long it will be till either of you is erased."

[zepplin]

OOC: arr, doc, mind doing something? and btw Vorak, the words thank and you are seperate words, might wanna change that.

The three of them walked up the road and eventually arrived at a large building covered mostly in a primitive transparent substance, known as glass, forming windows.
They entered the building.

Upon entering the building Beathan, Vorac and Zepplin look around.
"Excuse me laddy..."Beathan said to a passer by"...Sir! Could ye..." He said again"...Could One O' Ye Ladies an' Gents Poin' Me Ta Tha Chief Doctar!" He shouted finally.
"Sir, we are awfully busy with this SARS epidemic could it not wait till a later time?" Said a young female nurse. "I be commin' ta talk ta 'im jas' abou' tha SARS. I be a docta too. I wish ta help. Thes two gents be, me assistance. They be new. Vorac, he be Polish. An' Zepplin, he be new fro' Bos'on."
"Oh well in that case follow me." She said leading them to an elevator.
whispering, Beathan turned to the other two officers." Le' me do all tha talkin'. Less ye have a degree i' medicine, ya no' tell me 'bout." Turning to follow the nurse.

OOC:Translation of what Beathan said for those who didn't cache it.
"Excuse me laddy...""...Sir! Could you...""...Could One Of You Ladies and Gentlemen Point Me To The Chief Doctor!"
"I am coming to talk to him just about the SARS. I am a doctor too. I wish to help. Thees two gentlemen are my assistances. They are new. Vorac, he is Polish. And Zepplin, he is new from Boston."
