Jason got up off the couch and headed for the door.
"Thank you for your time." he said
Jason turned and left. When out in the hall he pulled his padd and updated his information. He then headed back to the lift and back to the bridge. The doors opened and he stepped out walked accross the command deck over to the Captains ready room. Hitting the chime he waited to be allowed in

He looked it over "the second one Louis doesn't seem to speak much?" he asked "I did notice that during dinner."

Jade spoke up now "Captain since I am in charge of this investigation I suggest we try and focus on him. Being quiet means he either has something to hide, or has been gagged by the other. Forensics came up with nothing since we have no heart. But I put it to you, what does the heart pump?" they nodded to each other "and that is what they need, perhaps these Valens are not as tame as they would have us believe. Then again I will keep my options open."

"Ms. Jade," said Kynes. "I'd like you to bug the guest quarters, when the Valen are out to lunch. Something is wrong here, and I think they might know what it's about. I dont think it's mere coincidence that they wandered here at the same time of the Olen insurgence."

Zepplin sitting next to Vorak accros from the Captain at his desk answered. "Sir, if I may, the fact tht these Valens require a sample of blood to sustain themselves within a certain period of time, doesn't mean they are the only suspects."
he pointed out before continuing. He rose from his chair and began walking to face the wall.
"If someone else were to want to kill this man, and frame the Valens." he turned about on the spot facing everyone.
"This would the the likely way to kill them, the fact there is no heart is a mystery, but I am informing the Quarter Master to double check everything sent to waste, and Jade has kindly posted security everywhere, which should make her job, and my job much easier." he said, his hands now firmly clasped behind his back.

"I'm not saying they are the only suspects, Lieutenant," said Kynes. "I'm just saying we should keep a close eye on them... After all, I highly doubt a crewmember would kill another member of the crew, especially now. But we should keep all possibilities open..."

"What about a spy?" he says, and he hears the shock in some of the other officers voices.
"Its's plausable! We've had a spy before, what if an Olen Spy came onboard and killed the crewmen? How could we tell if it was him? Captain, if there's even a chance, and information about them would be most helpful. If I had DNA..." he started.

"See if you can get a genetic sample, and the possibility of an Olen spy is plausible. Needless to say, we must be on guard."

"Aye sir, shall I contact the Olens? The only way to get a sample would be from the theoretical spy, or from the Government themselves, unless you have another way sir?" he paused interested in what the Captain might say.

"I doubt you could, Zepplin. Their government is being overthrown as we speak, and it'll be a while until things return to a state of normalcy for them."

"So how exactly are we going to get a DNA sample?" An idea sparked in Zepplins mind.
"Sir weren't you attacked on Olen Prime? Surely there would be blood on your clothes you used?" he asked.

"They were water-washed, but I'm sure there are trace elements... I'll have the clothes sent to the Science Lab for analysis."

"Aye sir, I'm on my way to do the analysis myself." and with that Zepplin left.
"Commander." he said as he went passed Commander Vorak.
<Science Lab>
Zepplin began his analysis, by seperating the DNA of the Captain from that of the Olens, and feeding it into the Computer banks, it required that he sit and watch a machine, which in essense, was just a giant tricorder beam, set to read this sort of material, DNA, but it needed to be monitored, as it was an unknown period of time for how long the analysis would take.
