Near Klingon Neutral Zone
Captain Kynes sat comfortably in his chair, reading over a report from Engineering. The bridge was silent, and there was little commotion. The day had been thus far uneventful.
"Captain," said the Communications Officer.
"A Klingon Vessel has decloaked, and it's hailing us. It's a Klingon Bird of Prey; heavily damaged.
"Open Channel," replied the Captain.
The visage of a tattered Klingon appeared, scars painted across his cheeks. He spoke with a raspy voice, as if his vocal chords were wounded.
"I am Glaen, First Officer of the IKS Nejrav. There was a major malfunction with our warp drive. It ruptured our hull, and killed many of the crew onboard."
"Where is your captain?"
"He was killed when the Command Console exploded. I am now the first in command."
"Are you aware that you have trespassed into Federation space?"
"We lost Navigation controls. When we detected your vessel we cloaked, but we decided to ask for your aid."
Kynes listened to Glaen's call for help. The scans had established the truth that the IKS Nejrav was in critical condition. But he wasn't sure if this was a ploy of the Klingon's to capture his crew.
"We'll be in touch, Glaen. I'll get back to you once the command has decided the next course of action. Kynes Out."
Kynes turned to his First Officer, Vorak.
"What do you believe their intentions are, Commander?" Kynes asked the Vulcan.

"We must be wary Captain, Klingons are not known for their trust and have been known to use bait before. Thow they do appear to be badly damaged so I recomend we proceed on yellow alert and phasers charged."

"You can never be too careful around the Klingons. Lieutenant Clark, prepare your repair teams to beam over to the IKS Nejrav. Lieutenant Jade, select the elite of your team to masquerade as Engineers, and conceal weapons, just in case the Klingons are planning an attack. We don't want to show them we are defended, as they might perceive it as a taunt," said Kynes, sitting in the Captain's chair.
Through the viewscreen, the Nejrav looked terrible. Parts of it's hull had been torn off completely. Spurts of Oxygen gushed out of the vessel's ruptured shell. The dismal picture made Captain Kynes edgy. "Commander Vorak, make extensive scans through the area, searching for cloaked Klingon ships. We don't want an ambush on our hands."

"Aye aye Sir" i say moveing from the nav station up to the helm station. "Engageing, course 003.9074.529 at one half impulse, ETA to target is 5 minites. I will bring us to rest near the ship, do you want me to bare out phasors or the shuttle bay?" i ask, if he said phasors i would face them head to head, if he said shuttle bay i would back up to their rear. I waited for his orders...

"Understood, Mr. Clark. Ensign Vanlen, don't make any moves that could be interpreted as hostile. We know how they like to fight, and we don't want to give them a reason for doing so."

"You're the Science Officer, Vorak. You and Mr. Clark take a few Repair teams to the IKS Nejrav. I'll supervise things from here. Lieutenant Jade has her undercover security ready, if anything goes wrong."
