Episode XIII: Blinded

[James Horner]

"yeah" he replies "goo. And if he doesn't make as much of believer out of starfleet?"

[Lt Matina Jade]

"Then the someone on board better be ready to first officer" she sayd dryly and walks to tactical.

[zepplin]

"Commander, it appears to be working... at least 85% have left the vacinity of the central mining complex, however they are still 5 small groups, which appear to be continuing mining operations." Zepplin spun in his chair to fully face his Commander.
"Commander, if we set out Phaser banks to heavy stun, when Litchfield fires upon the surface, the miners will be stunned, I believe five short bursts at the locations where the miners are mining, outside I might add, will knock them unconscious long enough... to perhaps beam them aboard sir?" Zepplin offered, interested in Vorak's next move.

[Commander Vorak]

"Thank you LieutenantJade . Photon Torpedos" he ordered and turned as she looked on at him, as did the others. "You heard me. Load torpedos."
Down below the miners looked at their screens "they have loaded torpedoes!" called out a miner.
"God dam it! Is he mad!" the Manager shouted "alright everyone to the shuttles at once, now!"

[Lt Matina Jade]

She is shocked, her eyes wide, not and easy task as she loaded it.
"Loaded and..ready commander."

[zepplin]

Zepplin saw threw his plan, it was indeed quite a clever one. With a smile he manned his console again and turned asking him.
"Should I... bring online all the.. 'other' weapons systems Mr. Vorak?" he asked.

[Lisa Rogers]

Rogers sort of understood from the vibes of sarcasm Zepplin was giving off.

"Should I... lay in a lower synchonise orbit Commander?" she asked, still uncertain if what the Commander was proposing was a ploy or not, being a much more junior officer.

[Commander Vorak]

"Indeed move in closer and charge phasers" he ordered.

[Lisa Rogers]

"Course plotted and layed in sir, moving into lower orbit over the station... now in optimal weapons range." she replied

[Commander Vorak]

"Report Mr Zepplin" he asked looked over his shoulder.

[zepplin]

"All 'weapons' are operational sir, there is yet no sign of..." his console beeped at him
"Correction, we are being hailed by the Mining facility... they wish to discuss terms of their surrender sir." Zepplin added, waiting to be given the signal to put them on screen.

[Commander Vorak]

he sighed a sign of relief.
"Stand down weapons and hail them."
The manager came on screen.
"Alright dam you, there are several sites I surpose we could relocate to but it would take months to set up and three of them to serve the federations needs. I hope you know what you have done."
"I have" he replied "You may begin "Paking your things.""

[zepplin]

Zepplin gave a smile.
"Commander, the shuttle has only travelled .3 light years away from the ship, we can rendevous with them in 30 minutes on course to the Captain." he reported.
"Mining has almost come to a complete halt from the planets surface sir."

[Commander Vorak]

"Understood, Yes you must take command. I relieving myself for breathing orders. Rendezvous with the shuttle then got retrieve the Captain" he said and walking from the bridge.

She watched him leave and looed back at the others.
"Man he really had me going there."
