Episode XVIII: Fatal Contact

[Lt Matina Jade]

"Ok" she nodded "why do you think I'm getting them in the first place?"

[Commander Vorak]

He nodded to Clark as he entered.
"We have to be skeptical about Ms Jade's visions but we must also explore all options. Can you assist me in scanning for any Federation ships or debree in the area that would amass to that to the Miranda class USS Torrent?" he asked and turned to his scope.

[Louis de-Point du lac]

Louis walked over with and injection and proceeded to administer it to a patient on the next bed.
"if I may say so sir, I believe that these memories could either be triggered by the surroundings or perhaps a device. I believe you would have to ask yourself why you don't remember these events, if only star fleet had councilors on ships."

[Beathan MacAinmire]

"Laddy, it be nice ta have councilors but No human be good at it that much. It s no' like there be a species tha can read minds ya know." He glaird at Louis. "But I know what ya be meaning." He said turning back to Jade. "I think it may be the Sovereign lads and lasses. They be a funny bunch o'potatoes"

OOC i can't remember when Starflet meet the Baytazed but I thougt tit would be funny.

He smiled.
"Not without being tactile anyway."
He then listened to his other words nodded and walked back to his duties.

[Lt Matina Jade]

She nodded
"Yeah, I felt something from the moment I entered this space. Perhaps I should review the logs the other survivors filled and see what I can come up with."
With that she left thanking them both before returning to her office and beginning to go over the logs. Alas, nothing.

[Will Litchfield]

Will, being rather bored walked into sickbay.
"Anything need fixing or anything in here?" he asked.

[Daniel Clark]

Daniel nodded and set to work

"Theres something 34,000 km away but not big enough to be a Miranda class ship

[Commander Vorak]

"Indeed" Vorak says leaning in "Three parts spread across a moon. Well done Clark."
He turned to the helm.
"Helm set course for the 4th moon."
He then pressed the com.

"Well ther ya go laddy ya better go." He said looking at the officer having just steped into his sickbay.

[Captain Alexander Kynes]

Kynes entered the bridge, his head aching. He had been feeling sick as of late, but not sick enough to go to the Doctor for it. He didn't want to trouble the doctor, to cure a mere headache. He nodded to Vorak, and suceeded the Captain's chair. On sensors was the graphic depiction of a debris field, circulating the orbit of the 4th Derrien Moon.
"Is it the Torrent?" Kynes asked, not yet being briefed on the subject.
"Negative sir," said Vorak.
"We have not as of yet been able to identify the debris. However, we have come to the conclusion that it is not the Torrent. The debris field is too small."
"Acknowledged," said Kynes, holding his head gently in his palms.
"We are within visual range," said the Operations officer.
"Put it on screen," instructed Kynes. The Ops Officer nodded quickly, and tapped the confirmation of a visual display of the wreckage.

The screen portrayed the twisted remains of what appeared to have been a bulky, civilian vessel.
"Scans?" Kynes suggested.
"Negative, sir. There is too much ionized radiation to gain clear readings of the debris. No doubt a cause of the weapons energies discharged, during whatever struggle that happened here..." replied the Operations officer.
Kynes nodded. Noticing that there were several large, possibly compressed regions of the vessel that were yet intact, he spoke.
"Vorak, Jade, McAinmire... meet me in the Transporter bay. We'll make an investigation in person. Bring your best diagnostics personnel.. We should find out what happened to this vessel."

Getting up, Kynes turned to Litchfield.
"Mr Litchfield, you have the bridge."

[Commander Vorak]

OOC: I modified my post leaving the Captain behind, his post was to good to criticize and I prefer him to active anyway

Vorak nodded.
-COM- Mr Yuri, Ms Snow and Mr Tome to the transporter room-COM-
"Mr Clark, we may need an engineer on the team also, join the party and bring two of your men with you."
He looked back at Kynes who nodded in agreement. As they entered the turbolift Vorak turned to his friend.
"Captain, you do not appear well."

[Lt Matina Jade]

Jade heard the call and turned of the desktop screen, sighing at the confusing visions that so far had no basis in fact.
She picked up a hand phaser arming herself and collected two of her men as she passed the security mess.
"Ms Rogers is in charge of security until I get back" she told them and made her way of with the team, arriving shortly after at the transporter room.
"So you recognize the ship?" asked one.
"No, its not even Federation is it?"
They shook their heads and waited for orders.

Beathan entered the transporter room as orderd. He saw Lt Jade, and walked toward her. "Lieutenant, how are ye fealing? Any new visions?" He asked looking at her freindly.

"No, but I can't find any reason for them either" she replied looking confused and stressed.
